Dreaming of Skyway and Peoplemover

So it's 7:30 am and I'm a little depressed. I just had a dream that I was at DL with my wife and some friends of ours. To our amazement, the Skyway was operating and the Peoplemover was being tested. I asked a CM about it, and he said that John Lassater insisted that the Skyway and PM comeback, so they were unvieling them. But....then I woke up.

Over the past 3 years I have probably had close to a dozen dreams about being at Disneyland and the Peoplemover being there. I do want the PM back, but I don't consider myself to be obsessed over the issue, there are other things going on that's a little more important in my life. So why do I keep dreaming about it?! Does anybody else dream of old attractions? Dr Phil? Dr Laura? Where are you guys when I need you?

I would say this is a sub-concious obsession. I'm no Dr. Phil, but the subject is definitely on your mind in a big way if you are having recurring dreams about it. Of course, it could be worse... you could be stuck on iasw for a full day in each of your dreams

It could be either that you are, as the previous poster said, subconcsiously wishing it to come back.

Also, transportation devices in dreams simbolize the way you feel your life is going. Usually if the vehicle is going slow you feel your life is going slow, if the vehicle is going fast you feel your life is going too fast, or if it's stalled or broken then usually it means you feel as if you're stuck where you are in life. Since, in your dream, the PeopleMover was being tested and getting ready to be put back into operation could there be something in your life that you're getting ready to do that's big? Are you being tested in some way?

Another reason could simply be due to all the talk about the PeopleMover and Skyway that's been going on recently here on the boards. It may not have any real meaning in your life, you just may be thinking about it a lot because of the zillions of topics on the subject here on MiceChat.

Somebody once told me that everybody in a dream is YOU, regardless of who they look like. Mothers, sisters, brothers, celebrities are all aspects of your own personality/subconscious revealing themselves through a dream.

Thus, YOU are John Lassater. He is basically you proclaiming that they have reopened, because on some level that is what you want.

But then, even Freud said sometimes the Skyway is just the Skyway.

I am on the boards at least once a day, unless I'm really busy. Yes the PM rumors are flying wild, but I have decided not presume or expect anything until construction starts, or official word comes out. Now, although I'm not "obsessed" over the PM returning, the one thing I do want for Disneyland is the return of the PM. If I were in an executive posistion, that would be my number one priority for the park. So I would expect to maybe dream about the PM returning once...maybe twice.

It is interesting to note that someone said the PM and Skyway are both slow moving rides and could possibly reflect my life. I am very anxious for October 2009 when I leave the Air Force, and hopefully return to being a civilian in L.A. again.

It is entirely possible, as well, that I am sub-conciously obsessed, but am supressing the obsession because I am aware of the fact that I'm pretty helpless to do anything about the situation, as well as have a life to live.

Does anyone else dream of the PM though? Maybe my friend's father was right and the military my soul and I'm in the beginning stages of insantity.

I dunno... the skyway looked out of place from the get-go. It threw off the Matterhorn's scale in a big way.

Do you ever dream you are falling from the People Mover? That sort of dream would be a concern
