This weekend...october 19-21.
why are all the hotels in the area sold out?
i was planning a surprise vacation for me and my hunny, but its hard to find rooms. i was under the impression that this was one of the slowest weekends of the year?!
if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. i want this to be a great trip, and im scared that its going to be another overwhelmingly busy disney weekend.

Not too sure. There doesn't seem to be anything huge going on at the convention center.

I checked Travelhero.com for the 19th-21st and there were rooms available at Howard Johnson's, Park Place Inn and The Carousel. The Carousel was only $75 a night. I didn't check any others...but there seems to be plenty available.

It's my birthday weekend. I'll be there and everyone will want to see me hence the lack of rooms

i think i may have found out what is giong on that weekend...
AARPs "Life At 50+" meeting/convention with an estimated 30000 attendees.
i feel better that its that and not something else.
do you think that it will turn into more disneyland traffic considering the age bracket that these people fall under (honestly, no offence)?
i really dont think so...but who knows.
