What gets cancelled closed if the resort gets alot of rain?

I ask because it looks like it might rain on fri/sat when I'm there this weekend.

    Thanks.

    Re: Rain Rain Go Away

Off the top of my head, Teacups and Alice go down, as well as possibly Pooh. Parade most likely won't happen, though I've seen them do it on big holidays (like this past New Year's) due to guest demand, though it was the most stripped-down and boring parade I'd ever seen. Fantasmic also probably won't happen, and fireworks are anyone's guess, it depends more on the wind than the rain.

What you really need to watch out for is lightning. Some rides close down if there's lightning reported within a radius of a few miles, but if it gets too close, every ride that isn't completely contained in a show building (not counting the queue) shuts down, which turns out to be most rides in the park.

No idea about DCA as far as inclement weather goes.

Who cares? If it rains the morning the park will be empty all day. I am going to be there and I hope for some rain in the morning.

I know that they would cancel the fireworks and fantasmic in the rain. I am not sure about the parade.

I was in DCA during a torrent downpour. My son and I just sat under the queue of Disney's Playhouse for about an hour just watching the rain come down...then I said "ah what the he11!" and we put on our slickers and plastic Mickey ponchos and went puddle jumping.

One of the best times I ever had at the park.

I think Disneyland has a whole different feel when it rains. I love it!

I vaguely remember them doing "Mickey's Rainy Day Cavalcade" instead of the parade last time I was at the park in the middle of a very rainy afternoon.

Sorry. Don't know if I sounded rude or not. When I read it again it kind of sounded that way. I didn't intend to sound rude.

I love it when it rains. Big Thunder is so much fun in the rain. I can't wait to get down there.

That rainy day cavalcade sounds cool too. I would like to see that.

Yep, that's what they do when they cancel a parade.

Mickey and friends ride the parade route in the double-decker bus (or whatever other transportation that might be handy).

They do slow down and wave, but that's about it.

                      Enjoy!

Christmas 2003 on our honeymoon, it rained for 3 days solid and pretty much everything was open and running. Alice and Teacups were down, but everything else stayed open. Splash Mt in the rain is a lot of fun.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

From my experience, the few times Ive been there and its rained, theyve cancelled Fantasmic

if it light rain most of the ride will be open,

Now if a hard rain all outdoor ride will stop and indoor will be open

                              less people in the parks

if raid stay in Disneyland more indoor stuff to do.

Id say no, so far it seems as though most love it when it rains.

Umm....that rainy day calvalcade is NOT cool. I don't think you've seen it otherwise you'd know.

Essentially they get all the characters they can to fit on the omnibus and have it go down the parade route. Just that ONE car with everyone on it. All done to some canned music that is about as bad as it gets. Nobody else follows or comes before. That's it.

Makes me laugh because it's the worst thing ever but also kind of sad cause you're looking for a full-blown parade and you get that sham instead.

Funniest thing is when it's only slightly raining or sprinkling and the actual parade is going, they do it in fast foward as I call it. It doesn't make any stops, doesn't do anything fancy, they just zip by.....literally.

                                      Bye.

I've seen that, but NYE and NYD last year, they ran POD without show stops. Pretty much just moved everything from point A to point B with music.
