Here's my latest communication from Maynard, who
should return soon:
At present, Maynardio and I are in Kauai with our
sister, Bonnie, and tomorrow Maynardio and I will be
traveling back to Oahu to attend the annual Talk Story
(storytelling) Festival. While we were in Maui,
Maynardio was asked to do a bit of on-air silly
business for two different radio talk shows (on KAOI).
He also performed a couple of character voices for a
new Menehune Drinking Water commercial that he wrote,
which now airs in Maui on KPMW (105.5 FM).
While Maynardio has been visiting with folks at
various radio stations in Maui, Oahu and Kauai, I've
been working on a children's story. I wrote the tale a
couple of years ago and I've been trying to smooth out
some of the kinks. I must admit however, that the
natural beauty of these islands have been somewhat of
a pleasant distraction.
