Re: Club 33
I've seen inside the door. But that's about it. Someday I'll go
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Re: Club 33
Have been fortunate enough to get in as a guest of a member there several times, although not recently. It is a "must do" at least once for any Disneyphile, but from a food perspective was not as good as other local gourmet restaurants. In 1967 there were not as many good restaurants that compare and now Club 33 has sadly been surpassed in food and service. (Especially for what they charge). I would guess that Napa Rose has a better wine list (LOVE that restaurant). Having said all that, the food is only part of the experience and it is one of those "truly special" things, so you should try and go at least once to get it out of your system.Last edited by Cousin Orville; 10-13-2006, 07:16 AM."As usual he's taken over the coolest spot in the house"- Father re: Orville 1963

Re: Club 33
I'd love to go. Never been. I am ever on the lookout for the chance to get in. I keep thinking I'll take the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour just to go in the door.Check out my new Disney Blog here. What it lacks in quality it makes up with... Well, nothing I guess.

Re: Club 33
I actually was able to go last year. I had been dreaming about it for quite a while, and it was great.

Re: Club 33
The last time I was there in August I really enjoyed our meal. I've been a number of times and the food has been a little inconsistent. However they have a new GM who is REALLY running the restaurant well, and they are back on their toes. If you go at lunch and they are still serving the duck breast with stone fruit risotto, have it, it's fantastic. The dessert buffet was still so-so though, but if you ask they'll bring you a lovely cheese plate.

I know how you feel. I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to go, but I am pretty sure it's not in the cards for me either.
I, as well, will keep dreaming."If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see? " - Alice
