If you could change three things about something in ALL of DisneyLand, what would it be? Here be the rules:

You can't add/remove a ride ENTIRELY. Only add changes to the ride or subtract something, but not the WHOLE thing. Nor can you choose to add a ride entirely new. This goes for areas as well (adventureland/new orleans, etc.)

Hmm... only CHANGE? I guess it's good to have limitations because this thread would never end if we were talking about adding completely new rides.

1. Indiana Jones Adventure -- like the other thread suggested, it's a lot tamer than it used to be. No, I wouldn't roughen it up again but I'd love for the effects to be restored and made even better than before.

I'd also like to have Harrison Ford voice the animatronics and maybe have the imagineers get a better sculpt for the animatronic too.


2. Winnie the Pooh -- Smaller vehicles to start, and a lot more twists and turns through the building. The areas in the ride are so large it feels like you barely go anywhere and it's done. More rooms, more things to see, more details, more animatronics.

Make it like Tokyo's ride but change it up a little so it's a bit unique.


3. Autopia -- new sleeker, faster cars. New track that covers more ground and more to see. Add a radio so that you can listen to different disney radio stations or something, music of tomorrowland past, alien rock, or something fun while you drive.


So there's just a few. I tried to remain fair and realistic sorta. haha

i wouldn't change the rides. at all

but here's what i would change:

1. no strollers...period.

2. no fastpasses (i know some people say that they're amazing,and i myself use them, but they make the "regular" like so much longer)

3. cost of everything ... hello!! starving college student

I guess moving it to San Diego is outside your boundaries, so there isn't much I would want to change and nothing that would have a dramatic effect on attendance or most people's experiences.

1. I agree with enhancing Indy, but I would add that the queue needs to be redone so you don't do all your waiting outside. The inside wait area is one of the best at DL (along with Roger Rabbit), and now you miss it (as you do with Roger Rabbit if you have a Fastpass).

2. Jungle Cruise: modernize the animals (and natives) somewhat so it is fun on its own, and not just for its retro-kitcsh factor.

3. Higher-quality food. The switch from Hunt's ketchup to Heinz (not sure when that happened, but I was really happy to see it) was a good first step, but there is a long way to go yet. I'd like to see fresh sandwiches, like Boston Market (are there any of those left) used to serve and more fruit stands (maybe there is somewhere at the park to get these already, but I don't know). Make Blue Bayou or the Hungry Bear a somewhat upscale place like you find in Downtown Disney.

1) Destroy Innoventions, bring back an updated Carousel of Progress.
2) Burn down HISTA, blow up Red Rockett's, and build a real E-ticket there.
3) Send every Pixar attraction to DCA (Buzz, Nemo), and focus Tomorrowland on, well the FUTURE.

1. Make 2006 the farewell season for HMH. I enjoyed it once, but it's a travesty that one of DL's signature attractions is unavailable in its traditional form for nearly six months every year. I found this particularly disturbing during the 50th, when Pirates also happened to be down for the refurb.

2. Clear the walkways of merchandise carts.

3. Upgrade Star Tours.

1. Upgrade the food quality for at least 1/2 of the locations. The food at the park is complete crap.

2. Remodel Tomorrowland, including a return of the PeopleMover.

3. Raise admission prices for both single day tickets and AP's. I don't think $500 for a Premium AP is more than it's worth. Oh, and automatically include DCA with any type of admission.

2. Replace the old scrim and black paint in Haunted Mansion to restor it's "invisablity..." in the graveyard scene...
3. Utilise the Carnation Gaurden's more, pipe in recorded big band music if you have to, serve food and drinks...

3. Replace third section of Big Thunder --The ending shouldn't be the least exciting section of the ride.

I don't know how to use the quotes ---but i agree with the Harrison Ford's voice on animatronic in Indy --and maybe make him look like Harrison instead of Bruce Willis in Indy Hat

Yes! I forgot about this, but it is a great suggestion. After all, isn't part of the attraction of having a simulator ride the fact that it would be much less expensive to update than a traditional ride?

It would have to be markedly different to justify the investment, though. I don't know if a new Star Tours movie would draw that many more people to the park.

It would draw a TON of Star Wars nerds from around the country! (me included). But honestly, they wouldn't update it because there is always a consistent number of people in line for this attraction. And of course there was the whole process of getting Lucas back into the game since Eisner scared him off.

I hope they can at least get a digital projector for the 20th anniversary for the ride if anything. And maybe update some of the effects in it too so the transitions aren't as harsh. It would be awesome to actually see Endor before we land on it!

2. Rehab Toontown (it can even be geared to just kids)
3. Something new to HISTA.

2. Give Tom Sawyer Island a complete overhaul.
3. Convert Mickey's House into a dark ride where at the end, you meet Mickey while leaving the ride.

1. Move the Rocket Jets back up where they were in 1967.
2. Get rid of the cheap "retro" look of Tomorrowland.
3. Reduce the high prices of fast food, and deliver it, well, fast!

I would:

1:Fix things on Indiana jones (spider effects, project, fog for rats on log, demon projection).
2: Turn the Tiki Tiki room into a cool resturant
3: Change top saywer island since not many people go there anymore (i have bad memories of that area....)

Paring it down to three is difficult, let's see:
1) Bring back the Peoplemover
2) Do something better with Innoventions, since I'm in a retro mood, bring back America Sings.
3) Put the rocket jets back up where they belong and invite MC'ers to bring their own explosives and demolish those horrid rocks that clog up the entrance to TL
