I was 3 years old the first time that I went. My parents took me down for the opening of the New Fantasyland. I have lived in Utah, Oregon, and Georgia in my life and I have been to Disneyland at least once a year since 1983. Up until 2004 anyway. Didn't make it that year. Since the mid 90's I have averaged many more than just once a year.

My wife and I bought Premium AP's in June and we have been many times this year. My two year old son was there for his first trip on July 17, 2005. He has already been 7 times in his short life.

My first visit was when I was three in 1965, and I have the super 8 footage to prove it. Old Fantasyland ROCKED when you were three!

            Good morning, son
            In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
            It was pain
            Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I went when I was a baby but I don't remember much. My first memory of Disneyland is when I was 3 and they were building Splash Mountain.

I was nine because that's when we moved to California. My mom didn't like it so I didn't go back until I went on my own. But, I've done better for my kids. One inside me, one at six months, one at 10 months, one at 1 yr., one at 2, one at 3, one at 4. (Not all the same trip and not all in that order)

                  Re: Your First Disneyland Visit

I was eight (8) when I first visited Disneyland back in 1987.

I've begun to upload some of my photographic evidence of that trip here:

                  http://www.micechat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40938

I guess my fondest memories of the past include the now rarer characters (Brer Bear), being caught under Merlin's sleeve and the Subs.

Since then I've only been to Disneyland once (2005), Hong Kong Disneyland once (2006) and am planning a bi-coastal trip in 2008.

                    Re: Your First Disneyland Visit

My first visit was 2 years ago, so 19+ would be correct. Of course, I'm on the east coast where going to WDW as a child would have been more likely than DL.

I'm very proud to say my first visit was at the age of 5... in 1955.

I was 8 months old. According to my mother, I slept most of the time while my mother was stuck on Main Street with my Grandmother just shopping the whole time

At age 16! Two months ago! But hey, the Disney magic knows no age boundaries, right?

I actually missed the opportunity several times. First in '97, when my Grandparents and cousin drove down to the States. I was 7... too afraid to be without my real parents for such a long time . Then back in 2000, when I was 10, my mom got this huge tax return and I begged her to take me to Disneyland. But since my aunt came along, and she had already been to DL, we ended up heading to WDW.

But thankfully, I did end up visiting Disneyland eventually... and with pretty good timing. We hit the park just before the end of summer, with all the rides refurbished and open. Not to mention before the 50th anniversary began being disassembled
