  • Remember Dreams Come True... the show that won't die!

Well, just as I thought, my sources were wrong, so I am here to eat crow. "Remember" will be returning in January and become a permanate part of the parks entertainment schedule for the forseeable future. This has been made official by more than afew TDA folks, though there will be no "official" annoucement of any sorts. Alledgedly the hold up on the decision had to do with a fight amonst execs about the cost of the show and whether or not they would have to scale it down a bit. The penny pinchers wanted less, entertainment wanted the full show... entertainment won.

For those of you that haven't seen it yet, don't worry, its coming back!

      Yay, I love that show!

Can they relax the restrictions so it doesn't get canceled so often? What exactly is it that they're concerned about when they cancel it? Once I saw the test balloons go up and get quickly carried down Main Street. Show canceled. Last Saturday the balloons went up and got carried toward Tomorrowland. Show on. The wind didn't appear to be any stronger, just from a different direction.

I doubt live embers from the pyrotechnics shot off the castle would land on the crowd (most seem to burn out before getting near the ground), it would just be a lot of smoke.

Same here. I always cry when I see the show from IASW at the end when Wishes plays ~and do as dreamers do~ set to video of Walt walking through the orange grove.

I'm happy for the show staying. But it creates so many crowds at the hub. A two edged sword.

That makes me so happy! It is one of the best, if not the best, fireworks show ever done at Disneyland...I think the new way they make Tink fly is genious...so much more magical than sliding down one cable, almost too fast to see her...this makes her look more magical and you can see her for way longer...I just love it! It brings me to tears everytime! :0)

Yes I am so happy! I know so many people who haven't seen it. In my opinion this is the best show Disney has ever done and it brings tears to my eyes every time I see it.

I felt so silly, but I was crying at the end of Fantasmic last night. My 2 year old was watching it for the first time and at the end she got so excited she was clapping and yelling and jumping. And then she got so excited that she turned around and threw her arms around me and told me she loved me. Ok, so maybe it wasn't just the show that brought out the water works... but either way.

I'm glad it's sticking around. I haven't seen a show since Fantasmic! that has been able to impress people the way this show does. Even my best friend, a curmudgeonly accountant who isn't impressed by anything, thought it was the best fireworks show he'd ever seen. That's pretty miraculous.

I saw the 9pm show last night and I got a little teary, too. I've seen it often enough to know when to expect the elephants and the princesses and so forth. Not enough times, though, to anticipate the BOOM! from the pirate ship -- . But when Mickey appears at the end in his sorceror's apprentice costume on the roof and the triumphant music swells because he's defeated evil, then the smoke goes off and he "magically" appears on the stage floor . . . Aw, I just love it. I still can't believe how seeing Mickey (in an awesome show) turns a grown woman into a puddle of mush.

                        Oh, topic? Yay, fireworks!

Not just a grown woman. This grown man, too. Also with Remember and the one that does it every time: the IASW holiday lighting. :gladsad:

YAY!!!!! I LOVE THIS FIREWORKS SHOW!

Personally, I think it's the best one they've had (at least through the years that I've seen the fireworks.)

Oh, how I do love hearing LeAnn come on the speakers with "Remember When" after the fireworks are over. It gives me chills each and every time! GO LEANN! :-)

Awesome! Im so stoaked. I was really mad when I heard that they were going to trim pieces of or even worse, shut the show down. Thanks for the info!

I can't even begin to imagine what parts they would remove in order to make it "cheaper." Each section is crucial to the strength of the show. Thank God the Entertainment Dept. won this one!

Ooh...never seen it from there. Now that I know it's staying I may have to try seeing it there!

Man, oh man, how I agree with everything you guys said. My favorite thing in the park to do is to watch the fireworks, especially in the HUB right in front of the Partners statue. I LOVE this show too. The part that always gets me is when Tinker Bell flys down from the top of Matterhorn and you hear Walt's speech over the music. Sounds kind of corny, but it honestly does feel very magical at the park during the show, especially at that part of the show.

Im not a fan of fireworks show at all, but have to admit when I went to Disneyland in August it was a really good show that gave me goosebumps. If Dusty, Fishbulb, etc. had not talked me into seeing it the day we met, I would not have seen it.

Really good show. Everyone in my area applauded during the Main Street Electrical Parade segment.

I saw it on the Fantasyland side of Matterhorn right across from the Teacups. I was able to see some of Tink flying over the castle and was able to have a good view of the projections on Small World.
