This is just my idea: What if Fantasmic! was reinvented, and transformed into a Kingdom Hearts epic special effects spectacular?

Re: Kingdom Hearts taking place of Fantasmic!?
I know how it might work!
For example, Tom Sawyer Island could be transformed into Destiny Islands.
Secondly, in the Peter Pan sequence, have SOra duke it out with Captain Hook, and Peter battling the pirates to save Wendy.
Just some ideas...

I have a better idea, let the Disney studios in floriday have that show. I love me my Fantasmic CA version.

Re: Kingdom Hearts taking place of Fantasmic!?
I have a couple plot ideas in mind:
Sora, the keybearer, is on search for his friends, and meets Goofy and Donald along the way, who are searching for King Mickey.
Along the way, they come to different worlds and duke it out with the Heartless and different villans from the Disney movies.
The climax is the battle of Sora, and Maleficent. But just as you thought the show was over (Surpirse!), Sora finds himself in the face of Ansem!

Re: Kingdom Hearts taking place of Fantasmic!?
NO!?
The reasons I thought of this idea was that:
1. Fantasmic is almost 15 years old, and it starting to show it's age.
2. Kingdom Hearts has been such a runaway success, and you never see any of the characters in the park.
3. Disney should try something new!

Re: Kingdom Hearts taking place of Fantasmic!?
Of all the ideas ever posted for upgrades/replacements to F!, this is quite possibly the best. It is a storyline that has some serious potential. Kingdom Hearts includes all of the heros and villains. Sort of a dreamlike idea similar to F!. Story, in essence, is about good vs. evil and though evil may be strong, good, and love will always triumph. Definitely has every possible character available. It has potential, but it would have to be incredibly well executed and absolutely rip-roaringly spectacular as well as able to tug those heart-strings (i.e. finale to F!) in order to even live up to the standard set by F!.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

As for rip roaring, there could be an ambitious Heartless attack on Ton Sawyer Island with a stuntperson playing Sora, battling animatronic Heartless.

Re: Kingdom Hearts taking place of Fantasmic!?
Fantasmic! is a sort of brand name among Disney nowadays. Each performance pulls in 10,000 people to the river front every time it shows... the changes Disney needs to make is in the "plussing" department. Effects realized to their full potential, additon of minor touches, but it's something so popular and from a different (IE NOT Light Magic) age that would be hard to duplicate.
Also, the infrastructure is vast and impossible to reverse.

Hmm... Good Point about the infastructure.
However, it shouldn't be completely irreversible. I mean, hide the heartless where the dragon usually goes, and put the dragon on top.

Re: Kingdom Hearts taking place of Fantasmic!?
Honestly, the storyline of Kingdom Hearts is actually a very strong one, but I think that some adults may not identify with most of the characters. I know it's huge with kids and teenagers, and I know plenty of adults that would know the characters, but I don't see a large market identifying with a video game.
However, having Sora and other characters from Kingdom Hearts isn't crazy, especially if they found a way to incorporate the Heartless."You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try." ~ Homer Simpson
