Well, perhaps we need to send a message to the marketing department. They'll know how to approach Imagineering.

I sort of want this ride to be built in Tokyo DisneySea too.

Disneyland told me that if we make 5 more threads on this topic, the ride will be made!

^ Uhm I'm sorry to say, guests and us micechatters can't force Disney to do a thing.

That would be quite appropriate, considering TDS has Mermaid Lagoon.

However, TDS has quite enough spectacular attractions. Imagineering needs to show the original park some love and build the Little Mermaid ride.

That's actually not a bad idea. May want to send some letters to the Marketing department too.

Re: Let Disneyland Know...Little Mermaid Dark Ride

The downside is that it would have a 90 minute plus line every day for decades. Look at Peter Pan... and that ride is super short and for a movie >50 years old. People go bananas over that ride system and it's not exactly high capacity.

I'd bet that had a lot more to do with it not happening than anything involving money. Pretty sure it was meant for Paris anyway.

That DVD thing on it sure was cool though, don't get me wrong I'd LOVE to ride it, but there are a lot of downsides to it in a operating sense.

Gotta love it! And since Ariel is my favorite Disney Princess, you know I'll be sending a letter! That scene from the DVD makes the ride (attraction) look absolutely awesome! Disney would certainly benefit from creating this, as long as they do it right and not spare any expenses.

Oh, and just as a side bar...I will be the first one in line to ride it!

Yes there are downsides but I think when it comes down to it, if you provide the audience with enough attractions, they won't feel ripped off. If they miss it, they'll just have to make sure they ride it the next time.

I don't remember the last time I went to Disneyland and rode on EVERYTHING. And that's what I love about the place. The attractions I experience change so that it's different all the time. DCA, I can tell you each time I was able to do everything because there wasn't enough to do.

New rides will always be a lot busier but unless they make dark rides as big as Pirates, they'll never be able to have that same level of capacity. In time, the ride times will even itself out.

Can't we share? However I don't think that there is space in Mermaid Lagoon, there could be but maybe not. I don't know how much space there is inside of the building.
