How crowded is Disneyland this week?

Just curious if the parks are still crowded this week, or are they closer to normal attendance for this time of year?

Hardly any wait times yesterday, just a hassle with the filming going on, should be just fine this week and up until Memorial Day Weekend. Then summer break starts in different parts of the country.....will be crowded until Mid September.

We're going today as soon as my daughter is out of school...I'll report back our findings! We went Friday evening...got there at 9, watched the fireworks, and after that we made it on 8 rides before midnight! There were barely any lines at all.

I will be going tonight I hope. I will also post about crowds. I have not been in so long. I cant wait. I wish I drove not just my wheelchair but a car again....

My daughter and I are heading down tonight also, after a Girl Scout outing at Build-A-Bear....should be on Main Street around 6:45PM....look for a brilliant pink Marie hat, that's me, and I'm the only one that I know of who has one!

I just got back from DL after spending the morning there. Comparing it to my last experience Thursday, the place seemed empty!

Seriously, the crowds were very light. At 11:30 IJA had no line; standby or FP. I walked all the way to the main chamber (the dome room.)

As I left I glanced at the wait board. Nothing was long at all except Jungle Cruise. Jungle was being routed to the second floor and all in all was maybe 25 minutes. Weird when Jungle Cruise has a longer line the IJA.

Sorry for the double post, just reporting back to say that it wasn't crowded today at all! We got on 6 rides in 2 hours, and even had time to eat dinner.

Coolio, I think I'll head down tomorrow! They are running PoD and Remember/fireworks every day right?? Also BPB at DCA? I missed them all last weekend!

Yeah, it was not crowded at all today, although I think that may have been because some people may have been worried about the weather, which is funny because it was beautiful this afternoon.
And yes, BPB, POD, and Remember are running all week, I saw all three today!
I'm going back on Wednesday, and the weather is supposed to be really nice by then so I bet there will be a few more people...

Here's the way I see it.

Disney critics like Al Lutz, me, and many others have long argued that Disney's underinvestment in the parks has cost the Company more money than it has saved. They've said that the public recognized the overly-deep cost-cutting, and that it has hurt the parks.

This is where the rubber meets the road. Disney has done what the critics have called for, overhauling Disneyland from top to bottom. The place looks brand-spankin' new. There's a great new daytime parade, and a great new nighttime fireworks show.

What has to happen now is that Disney's accountants have to be convinced that the return on investment makes the extra spending worthwhile, or we'll likely see things go back to the way they were. We all need to hope for lots of crowds at Disneyland, as inconvenient as it might be. As both a Disney stockholder and fan, I want to see the park PACKED.

I'm really worried about the time we're going. It's right before memorial day weekend. We'll be there on the 22nd through the 26th. Hopefully it won't be to crowded yet.
