Sorry D-Dude, but life isn't always fair. If life were fair, we wouldn't have people like Paul Pressler.

I would suggest you sit down and have a calm, rational conversation with the folks, affirming all of their feelings, yet calmly sharing your own. Then, let fate decide what happens next.

    Worth a shot.

Question, your sister is the baby of the family, and is almost 20, so Im guessing youre older, right? If so, why cant you and your friend go on your own?

That's too bad. A couple of things I'm confused about. Why would your mom take your sis to DL if your sis doesn't like DL? You must be over 20 if your sis is the baby, why can't you just go with a friend - do you need your family to be with you?

Yah. I stopped going with my parents in Junior High. Not because I don't care about my folks but they're not big "ride" people so it wasn't worth the money. But I take them once in awhile just for good measure so they can enjoy the music, atmosphere, and fireworks.

I hope you can take your friend without the family I hope. Two nay-sayers wouldn't be fun anyway.

I think that you should just go. The first time I drove to Disneyland by myself was the summer after I graduated High School. My friend and I drive from Salt Lake City, UT to San Francisco then down to LA and Anaheim and stopped in Las Vegas on the way home.
Check out my new Disney Blog here. What it lacks in quality it makes up with... Well, nothing I guess.

WOW...my only question is, how can someone not like Disneyland? I suppose there are many out there who can't stand the place, but luckily, I don't know them! =)

Hope you can work it out, buddy and when you do, we'll celebrate when you get here! =)

                GOOD LUCK!

That was my thought. According to your profile DisneyDude, you're 18. So there's no need to rely on mom and dad to take you somewhere. Save up some dinero and take yourself!

                    I'm guessing younger.

I don't think that is a good suggestion even in jest.

If you and your friend are over 18 save your money and go on a trip all your own. It would be a blast for you.

ALso, their gonna buy me video equipment for editing and stuff. believe me, if i could go on my own, i would. But between money and the fact my parents pay for my stuff, i'm stuck. but just turned 18 a few days ago.

What she said! Just because you live at home and go to college doesn't mean you can't also be independent! I'll be your parents would be impressed with you taking responsibility for things like this. Job is definitely the way to go!

Dude, guess you'll have to decide what's more important, mooching of the parents for a while longer, or getting your own way. Good luck with that.

Also, Im willing to bet that theres a number of us who havent had a "family vacation" since well before we were 18. In fact the last time I went on vacation with my family where I didnt have to pay for myself, I was 15.
