    King Arthur Carrousel: THEY CHANGED THE MUSIC

    This weekend I got one heck of a sour birthday surprise when I discovered King Arthur Carrousel has a new music loop that rivals King Triton's Carousel in DCA!

    GGRRRR!!!!

              Wherever it's from, I hates it!!! It truly has the nightmarish orchestrations of Paradise Pier. Ugh.

              I loved, loved, loved the old Dumbo area/Carousel Music. Does anyone perchance have a source for a recording of that beloved loop, now gone (hopefully not forever)?

                  Sounds like a computerized imitation of actual carousel music.

                    Don't you hate when they do stuff like that? I don't even want Jack Sparrow in POTC, and dislike the changes to the attic in the HM.....

                            That and they added in a minor-key piano version of the Bridal March.

                            I think it's creepy and I love it, but I'm sure there are purists who prefer the original attic sans music.




                            I don't think it will be only purists who prefer the former Carousel music to the earhurt they're offering up now.

                                  yeah I'm one of those purists, kind of...the thing I hate the most is the changing of the look of the bride. The rest isn't TOO bad, and yeah, the piano music does sound creepy, and that is a definite plus.

                                  I think DL got a little inferiority complex when DLP's Phantom Manor turned out so spectacualrly, they felt compelled to add in their own bride story....only thing is, the HM's in the states were never MEANT to have a story.

                                    The thing that bugs me is that the old music sounded like it came from an organ. And isn't there some sort of mock up of an organ on the ride somewhere as if the music was coming from it? I may be wrong on this one...
                                    The new music sounds like it's coming from an 80's synthesizer...

                                      Well, that was pretty horrible. One of the things that Knott's has always had over DL is their carousel and the real antique band organ that plays classic carousel tunes.

                                      Such sound with the real drums, etc. I used to listen to it for extended periods of time each visit.
