  • King Arthur Carrousel: THEY CHANGED THE MUSIC

This weekend I got one heck of a sour birthday surprise when I discovered King Arthur Carrousel has a new music loop that rivals King Triton's Carousel in DCA!

    GGRRRR!!!!

Listen to the sample I've enclosed.

    But, why?
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

Is there any chance this was a mistake? Maybe???
I just can't believe it! It sounds so... Paradise Pier-y. Not at all European!

Wherever it's from, I hates it!!! It truly has the nightmarish orchestrations of Paradise Pier. Ugh.

I loved, loved, loved the old Dumbo area/Carousel Music. Does anyone perchance have a source for a recording of that beloved loop, now gone (hopefully not forever)?

Sounds like a computerized imitation of actual carousel music.
My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

Don't you hate when they do stuff like that? I don't even want Jack Sparrow in POTC, and dislike the changes to the attic in the HM.....

What'd they do to the attic?

No, that's not. What they gave you is pure crap. Someone needs to be fired for that one...

Oh, they changed the look of the bride and made all the banshees wear tuxes and scream I DO! I DO!....

That and they added in a minor-key piano version of the Bridal March.

I think it's creepy and I love it, but I'm sure there are purists who prefer the original attic sans music.

I don't think it will be only purists who prefer the former Carousel music to the earhurt they're offering up now.

                              Yuck is right! That's terrible.
Hmm. What could we do to get it changed back?
                              Any ideas?
