  • Haunted Mansion Holiday w/Corpse Bride in attic?

I realize that Wikipedia is updated by the public, but I found this little tidbit on the Corpse Bride page.

    Disney's Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor

It is easy to tell that Corpse Bride is very similar to Disney's Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor story. As in the Haunted Mansion, the bride in many of the stories of the Gracey Manor had been killed, and after death had waited for another love and haunts the mansion. In Phantom Manor there are nuptial mishaps going on. The bride in that story waits for eternity too, not knowing that her groom had been killed by the phantom. In addition to Corpse Bride and Haunted Mansion, the two movies both have a little paranormal humor, and show that even the dead can be light-hearted too. When the skeletons and Bonejangles dance and sing "Remains of the Day," in the movie, it is very similar to the catacomb scene in the ride of Phantom Manor, when the skeletons on the ride dance and sing Grim Grinning Ghosts.

It was recently announced that Disney has purchased the rights to include Emily as the Attic Bride in "Haunted Mansion Holiday".
Does anybody know anything about this announcement?

Where did this quote come from? It wouldn't make sense because Corpes Bride doesn't have anything to do with christmas, why would they put it into HMH?

They said 'recently announced' but they don't cite any sources. I think someone around here would have found the announcement if it was legit. Anyone can add anything they want to a Wiki, that makes them somewhat unreliable.

That and she has nothing to do with Nightmare before Christmas.....

And Corpse Bride wasn't a Disney film.

What they should do is make a Sally AA and have the attic become like her "cell" in Dr. Finklestines mansion. They could put her where the Bride normally goes and have her making a mix of frog's breath and deadly night shade. I think that would be a great addition to the otherwise boring HMH attic scene!

I for one would love to see them switch off between a corpse bride themed mansion and a NBC. Of course, nightmare before christmas is a lot better than coprse bride, but I love both of those movies! I think the corpse bride themed mansion, although less great, would still be pretty cool and interesting. Anyone else think so?

I seem to remember Disneyland offering some CB merchandise. Am I going crazy or did this really happen?

I remember seeing Emily dolls at 'Le Bait en Rouge' when it was still at the location Port Royale is right now. I'm not sure if they still have them in the new location, back by Blue Bayou, but I can check for you tonight.

I am fairly certain that I saw Corpse Bride merchandise at Le Bat En Rouge recently. Sorry, I can't check to make sure however.

That said, I am a big Tim Burton fan and while I enjoyed Corpse Bride, I don't think it is the masterpiece that NBC is and I really wouldn't want it to be mixed in with HMH. Good idea about putting Sally in the attic though. I would love to see that.
