  • Disneyland Railroad Narration voice??

Is it me or does the Narration voice on the train sound like Wilson from Home Improvement? And who is that person doing the Train narration?

There is a new narration to the Disneyland Railroad, but for many years previous, the train narration was performed by Thurl Ravenscroft, who's other vocal work includes The Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and The Enchanted Tiki Room, among others.

The new one sounds very much like James Garner to me

          stretching?

It's not Thurl ravenscroft any more? That's sad.

Thurl was the voice on the train. He's gone for sure.

I thought it sounded like James Garner as well. Either way, I still don't like the new voice. He almost sounds patronizing. "Look kids! There's a STEAMBOAT!"

I, too, miss the Thurl spiel. But Jack Wagner also did a few versions.

On this site, you can hear them in all their glory:
