  • Old School Disneyland Shwag!

I was in an antiqe (I can't spell it) store, and I found a mini zippo keychain lighter, with the disneyland logo and castle on the front. I bought it and still have it to this day,.....(somewhere in my room).
I also had a neighbor that had a pocket knife with the disneyland logo on it.
The point I'm making is that, did disneyland once sell these now considered "Dangerous" items at one point, \
ALSO, do any of you have any old school disneyland collectables that you would like to post pictures of and share.
I would post a picture of my lighter, but can't get my webcamera to work with my mac for some reason.

    What would you consider "dangerous"?

Well, in the spirit of Disney, I don't really think they and many parents would find it appropriate to give little kids knifes and lighters.

Fortunately, they still sell shot glasses!

I think from the very beginning that souvenirs were for both adults and children. The most frequent souvenir I see for sale on ebay is a Disneyland ash tray. The now call them "Bowls." I assume that they did not think that there were thousands of smoking children.

At the Last MouseAdventure, our team was called The Kim Possible Dream Machine. We dressed the part in cargo pants and orange berets. My husband put a pair of handcuffs into one of the cargo pockets. I told him he was going to get caught. He looked at me and said - I bought them at Disneyland!

You watch Kim Possible? I thought you were talk-to-the-hand about all pop culture?

                  I didn't say I WATCH KP.

I've seen it once. I'm not talk to the hand about most pop culture, just the stuff that doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Man, a spork could be considered dangerous.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!
