  • Anaheim Gas?

If this question belongs somewhere else, please move it...

Well, I'm driving down next week. Due to the number of people coming with me, and the time of day we're leaving, I'm going to take the SUV.

Which also means I can pretty much make the trip nonstop (except for a potty break or two)--I get close to 500 miles on a tank of gas.

This also means, however, that I'm going to have to load 38 gallons of gas back into it somewhere around DLR--and I'm not familiar enough with the area to know where the decent fuel stops are. I'd prefer to fuel up in a place where the manager doesn't look like a refugee from the cast of "Deliverance", and the cost of a tank of gas doesn't require a pound of flesh.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

The corner of State College and Ball Road has a good selection of gas stations. Throw in the fact that they have some of the cheapest gas I have seen, and you are good to go. The Shell station is worth the trip to see the topiaries and murals.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

The best prices I know of around there are a couple miles away. The Shell on the NW corner of Euclid and Chapman and the Mobil and Chevron stations on Brookhurst and Chapman eastern corners.

How much are you guys paying for gas out there in Anaheim?? Here in Orlando, the Hess and Racetrax Stations are about the cheapest gas in town, believe it or not!! While off WDW, we are paying an average of $2.22 a gallon, at WDW's Hess Stations, they are charging around $2.17!!! (for the cheapest brew that is) I get mine at BJ's with member discount at $2.11 a gallon.

I'm insanely jealous. Out where I am (east of Sacramento), the price is still about $2.87 a gallon.

And by the time I finish pumping gas into the SUV, I feel like burping it.

          (PS: Thanks, everybody!)

The Gas Station near my house in Moreno Valley is $2.48 as of this morning. I paid $2.55 near my work a couple days ago.

Eeeeek wotan, you should get just enough to get you to modesto, then fill up here. We are at 2.47 at 76, arco and such is probably a little less. Are you filling premium?

Wow. Here in Minnesota we are at like $1.90. I haven't gotten gas in like a week, but it's probably close to that still.

i usually fill up at the disneyland dr exit arco. on the corner. your coming from the north so thats the exit that goes straight into the parking area from the 5 south. My car takes premium and it cost me 2.67 yesterday. (minus 20 cents or so for regular)

On the intersection of Ball and Harbor, there are four gas stations. Because of the competition of this, their prices tend to be low. I think right now, gas is about $2.50 ish.

The AM/PM right by the entrance to the MF parking garage usually is the cheapest.

                            Eeeeew!!!

I have a story about that gas station, but I don't want to gross you all out!

It involves an undressed homeless lady, sitting on something, with a large puddle of something else, on the floor. All discovered when I opened the door to "wash my hands". The funny thing, is that she didn't even flinch. I was more embarrassed than her!

NEVER AGAIN. You have been warned!

(The kids remind me of that station adventure every time that we drive by it when we go to the Park. They all got a big kick out of it!)

Take Ball Rd. west to Brookhurst.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
