  • ticket question

Hopefully someone can answer this for me. My family and I are heading to Disneyland on Wednesday for a three or four day stay. All but one in our group are AP ticket holders so we only need to buy one regular ticket. Now here is the question. If we buy a three day pass for 149 and decide to stay another day can we upgrade the pass to a 4 day ticket for an additional 20 bucks or would we have to buy a single day ticket for the 4th day? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure you would have to buy an additional one day ticket. To the best of my knowledge, the only thing you can upgrade to after purchasing a ticket is an AP.

Your best bet would be to call Ticketing to be sure, but I think you can probably upgrade to a 4 day as long as the 3 day is still valid. In other words, you can't come back on the 4th day, tell them "Hey, I have this 3 day ticket from yesterday, can I upgrade to a 4 day?"

If you buy the ticket thru Walt Disney Travel Company, you can go to their office (back by Compass Books in DTD) and upgrade for the $20. It will say WDTC on teh ticket in little letters. If purchased anywhere else, they will require you to do a "gate" upgrade, which you will pay the difference betwen the ticket you bought for $149 and the gate price of the 4 day ticket (which is about $50 I think.) So, do not buy at the hotels. Call and buy thru WDTC and have them hold the ticket til you arrive. Then if you need to upgrade you can.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.
