  • what is the slowest day or week at the park, during the year ?

I have been to the park several times now, but. I would acually like to go when its not buisy or over flowing for once. I want to take all threee of my kids, and with me being by my serlf and having an autistic boy, this may proove to be very tough. I took him 3 years ago and it was hell on us, he did not want to be there, and the fact we had 5 days in the park most of it was spent at the motel. I want to take them all this time, but not when there is vacations, spring breaks, holidays etc. I would like the most perfect time, in the rain if need be ( less crowds) and one of the slowest times possible so we could acually not have ot stand in lines that long ( he gets crazy when having to stand for long) I have ot save up 4 thousand or more for this to happen, so if we have to not go until next year thats cool, but if its not until fall I maybe could acually save up enough

January and February used to be slow months. But now there are so many nasty APers, that you just have to take your chances.

Besides, you still owe me a drink from the last time you were here.

Also, let me know exactly the week you're coming, and i'll see if I can sign at least 3 of you in.

Personally, I have always thought Wednesday is the slowest day.

As has been discussed by the many folks that visited the Park last week (including us for the week), the week after Thanksgiving (starting on the sunday) is the best week to be at the Resort.

Many of us experienced "walk-on" lines to most rides each day. We walked up to the front of the Castle 5-7 minutes before the fireworks and had a great view (a couple of evenings).

Historically (well, at least since the late 80's that we have been there during that time), that week has been the best. Last year during the 50th festivities, it was busy, but this year it is back to "normal".

                Enjoy!

I agree Wednesdays always seem slower to me, and Feb too, that's when my birthday is and whenever we go it's super slow so go on a Wed in Feb and you'll be happy.

I am also thinking of hiring Loriebeth ( if she is available) to be the nanny! I will need someone for sure to help me. with the help we may all have a trip to remember!!!

My husband and I feel the payday before Christmas is pretty empty. Dec. 15th. And Wednesdays are the emptiest too, IMO.

The week after Thanksgiving. You have shorter park hours (10-8 at Disneyland, shorter at DCA), but it doesn't matter, because there are no crowds, no lines, no people. As mentioned, you can literally walk up to the front of the castle for fireworks ten minutes before the show. We walked on rides, on Splash Mountain, we didn't even have to get out the log to ride again. On the carousel, we rode twice in a row.

We've done it twice now--also all the rides are open because it's still a high season, but during the week, it's dead.

You get all the Christmas-y goodness, none of the Christmas crowds.

We went a week later last year and it was a madhouse.

I used to say October, but it's been packed the last four years during Oct.

I don't like going in Jan or Feb because there are usually some major rides down for rehab. I can't spend a week at Disneyland and not go on Pirates or Haunted Mansion....you know?

Mondays and Wednesday are the least crowdest.
