  • What is your best and worst Disneyland memory?

Thought id make a post to see what everyones Best and Worst Disneyland memory is?

I will start off and Say that my best memory turned into my worst memory, I will explain. When I was in Disneyland in May 2004, i was with my GF and I had proposed to her at the wishing well by the castle and 6 months later she cheated on me and left me.

My Best Memory would have to be when I was in Disneyland in October 2004 and I got to go on all the rides than I never got to when I was there in 1992. Still to this day I have never been on Space Mountain.

hmmm... i think that the best memory that I have of disneyland would have to be the day right after my 16th b-day... I went to DL for my b-day and then went the day after... just the atmosphere right after the holiday fireworks was amazing.... my b-day is the 23rd of Dec.

and as far as worst... I dont think I have ever had any non enjoyable experiences at DL

Worst DLand memory was this April when I was down there looking for apartments and I had pretty much come to the conclusion that I wasn't going to be moving.. I sort of had this breakdown in the Animation Studio..

My best memory is that one year my birthday was on Easter, so my friends planned a party for me at Disneyland. One of my friends got there early and distibuted Easter eggs amongst the cast members we knew. So when I got there, I had to find the eggs, and each egg had a clue in it as to what to do next. We eventually ended up at Club 33 for lunch, cake, and presents!

As far as worst, I guess it would have to be one night during the construction of DCA. When I left The Park and found my car, it took me an hour to get from my parking space to the exit. At that point I realized that Disneyland wasn't fun anymore and I decided not to renew my AP. (Remember what a mess it was when they were building DCA? Especially difficult for those of us who used to park right up front...)

But never fear, I got over it!

My best moment was the first time I actually saw the Electrical Parade in person, after hearing and reading about it for so many years.

My worst moment was last year. My wife had hurt her knee at Universal. We pull into Mickey and Friends (thanks to the CM who gave us a temporary pass for a handicapped spot), and she walks as far as the elevator when it gives out again. She can't move. Period. She's literally hugging the wall outside the garage for dear life.

In the meantime, I have to walk to the handicapped van, ride in, fill out the paperwork for a regular wheelchair, ride back, get her (she's in tears at this point), get her in the chair, ride in again, and then do the transfer to a scooter. Oh, yeah, that was a fun Disney Day.

I have a three best ones, surprising my oldest two daughters when they were little, they thought they were going camping, and then several years later doing the same trick for my youngest daughters. Both times were so great!
And in 97, my husband surprised me for our 25th anniversary. It was so special, although that is when I started to notice bad decay in the park. but it was my first balcony experience for fantasmic, and my first stay in the Disneyland Hotel, so that was magical.

I only have one worst, many years ago, in the 70's we were there during the Christmas holiday, the crowds were enormous. I had my little sister who was 8, and my fiance, who later became my husband. We got caught in a huge crowd of people, after a parade in the hub area, the crowd was so thick, I lost my sister totally, although I had a grip on her hand, I couldn't see her at all. I was so afraid she would be crushed. We were screaming to get people to move, but we were all packed in too tight. Finally, a security team began to pull us apart, and my sister was shaken up, but all right.
Goin around the world...and back to Disneyland!

my best memory would have to be when i won my 1986 pontiac firebird in 1986 that was the day after i graduated from continuation school (yes i liked smoking area better than going to class) in regular high school!

the worst would have to be when i was a little yard ape, i begged my mom to take me on HM then getting so freaked out they had to stop the ride in the middle so my mom could take me off

My Best Memory was going on Election Day 2000. No one was there and I got to go on every ride and get out of school. I did that in 2002 for DCA and that was a second best.

My Worst Was in December of 2000. I was really sick and convinced everyone that I was well enough to go. I'm probably the record holder for the person to get sick the most amount of times in every land. But, I got sick before I got on the rides. Twice security sent us to First Aid, I think they were not happy when I got sick on the Walt Disney & Mickey statue because it was so crowded for a parade I was being pushed against the fence and got dizzy.

My worst memory is when when I was little. I always carried around my little red puppy dog stuffed animal. We sat at a table to watch the Disneyland Christmas Parade. Well when the parade was over, we set off to go to Frontierland: BTMRR to be precise, but I then realized that I left my puppy at the table. So we raced off to go get him, but alas he was gone. We went to Lost and Found, but no one turned him in. I remember crying as they filled out a lost form...

As for the happiest memory... All of my Disneyland memories are so happy, I can't pick just one! I guess that's why Disneyland is my true home.

                        Oh yuk,

Last Thursday night someone got sick on Pirates in the cave where the gold is piled up, and the smell was there all day Friday. Then someone had the same problem on Main street near the Blue Ribbon bakery(my favorite evening latte place), and it was unbearable! People do get sick in Disneyland!

Yeah, but you have to admit Disneyland is the best at getting messes like that cleaned up FAST!!! It's unbelievable how fast they come; minutes later it's like it never happened!

I heard my aunt tell my cousin once, years ago when he was little, after he dropped a piece of candy on the ground in Disneyland... he started to put it back in his mouth and she said "Eh... it's okay, it's Disneyland!"

We didn't see the mess, thank God, but did smell it for about as long as it took to walk down half of Main Street!

Everytime I go to DL is my best memory....

except once, when I went with my friend and her three-year old daughter. My friend and I are both Disney NUTS, so we were postitive her daughter would love being there with us. WRONG.

We made the enormous mistake of taking the child on Snow White's Scary Adventure first. Hello -- "scary" is in the title, for crying out loud. I'm pretty sure that ride scarred the kid for life.

We calmed her down after the ride, then decided (stupidly) to try another dark ride -- Peter Pan. She was TERRIFIED.

After that, we thought an open ride would be best, so my friend took her on Dumbo, which she loved. I spent the rest of the afternoon watching the two of them ride Dumbo while I stayed with the stroller/video camera. It was awful! We left shortly after.

That was my only trip to DL that year, and I wasted it going on two dark rides with a crying three-year old. Never again!

I knew it! We were there, too. (I work in the nurse's office at a school, so at least that particular smell is not as shocking to me any more. Ick.)

Ah yes. Sewage backup is what it was. Really fun being stuck there with the smell for hours on end I assure you. :botox:

Best Memory- Any Disney trip as I child that I managed to drag my parents on IASW with me in excess of a trillion times a day. Oh how they suffered.

Worst Memory- coming as a little kid and having POTC closed for 3 consecutive Disney vacations.
