Greetings everyone!
As you've probably heard by now, the 45 Years Of Magic Parade Of The Stars has FINALLY been removed from the park. Now thru early May there's a character cavalcade performing twice a day called Mickey's Shining Star Cavalcade. Today I am going to share with you photos & video clips of the cavalcade. This show is only 2 1/2 minutes long so don't blink.

It begins with the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty:

Next we see a banner carried by two young kids, followed by their dancing posse:

The Disneyland Fire Dept. escorts the princesses:

They are followed by several characters from Pooh, Alice, & Snow White:

Mickey & friends pass by on the single parade float:

Aladdin & Jasmine bring up the rear:

.....and the cavalcade is over.
I have video clips in my yahoo briefcase located here & a small mp3 file located here.
You may notice that both videos 1 & 5 are of the beginning. Why ? The cavalcade ended so quickly I was able to walk over from one side of Town Square (on Main Street) to the other side & start recording the whole thing all over again! It's THAT short!
Okay, now let's walk around the park.
The Main Street Train Station is being repainted.

The Disneyland Railroad will reopen on Saturday, March 12th.
The gift shops by the tunnels are getting some fresh paint as well.

There's a new golden lamppost by the Cone Shop on Main Street.

The Tiki room will reopen on Saturday, March 12th.
Here's the latest shot of the new roof for the juice bar:

In New Orleans Square, Cafe Orleans is getting a touch up.

The N'Orleans Train Station is being repainted as well.

The Haunted Mansion reopened on Monday but it's refurbishment continues.

(notice the missing sign inside the hearse)

The portrait of Miss April/December has been replaced with one of Master Gracy from Magic Kingdom in Florida.

When the lightning flashes, he appears as a decaying corpse.

Madame Leota's crystal ball now floats around the seance table.
You'll notice there are new candles on her table as well.

The bride in the attic & the little bride in the crypt have a new pink hue.

The rest of the ghosts have been repainted & projections sharpened.

Splash Mountain is closed through March 11th for refurbishment.
Today workers were repairing the flume.

The new logs for Splash Mountain have side by side seating in the back.

The new logs also have a new Brer Rabbit carving on the front of them.
This is one of the old logs:

This is one of the new logs.

And finally, the Mad Tea Pary is closed for refurbishment.
It's rumored the cups will be restored to their original spinning condition.

The Mad Tea Party reopens on February 11th.
Okay, I think that covers just about everything.
Thanks for reading everyone!
