    Creep Mode?

I recall a while ago that Al Lutz wrote an article saying that the Haunted Mansion, Buzz, and other omnimover attractions would be getting a "creep mode." In other words, instead of stopping the whole ride ( which is really annoying ) to let on handicapped people safely, they would make the whole omnimover train slow down to a very slow speed to let on the handicapped people. Does anyone know if this will be comming to the parks anytime soon?

it's been in there for a few months now... although they do still stop it sometimes, they usually do creep mode and it's so much nicer!

on a side note: when my friends and i are walking through the parks and some of us start walking faster than the others we yell at each other "creep mode!" and they slow down... haha we're suck dorks...

Sometimes I notice, but sometimes I don't. After being in creep mode for a minute or two, then going normal speed is awkward. It seems like you're going too fast after that!

Hehe... how about hyper-speed mode? LoL I just had this vision of the Doom Buggies going out of control and no one can stop it and you go through the whole ride over and over again very fast...

I enjoy this "creep mode" in Haunted Mansion. I prefer the slow pace over the regualr pace. I feel that I am able to take in the surroundings much better when the car isn't moving at a grueling pace.

i like to go into creep mode when i'm in the graveyard, since that is my favorite part. Then if I were to stop in front of Tony the Tiger, that would be perfection.

A lot of guests comment that its fun to ride during creep mode, but I always tell them that if we ran the ride in creep mode all the time the wait time would increase by four times.

I'm another that loves when it goes into creep mode. I understand that it isn't feasable to run it that way, but I would so love to go through the whole attraction in creep mode. Even better, if I could do it with all of the EXIT signs extinguished.

HM will never extinguish the exit signs..just because of DOSH and the "creep mode" was probably installed in August!

Creep mode has always been "installed" into the omnimover, they just had to program it...

Oh, I know. I just want them to let me ride through once with them turned off. I can dream, can't I?

Their is a way of "dimming" them untill the ride shuts off.... and then lit them again.. untill the ride goes back in motion... I thought their was.... that way it wont ruin the atmosphere that much......

For those of us who took the "Myths, Mysteries & Legends" tour (or should I say "ripped-off by") at the end when we rode HMH, the whole ride was in creep mode. It was pretty cool.

Creep mode was put into place when they shut it down for HMH if my memory severs me. It is a nice system they have had it in Fl for a while now.
