  • Crane Behind Fantasyland

Just got back from dropping a friend off at DL and as of about 5 minutes ago there was a big crane behind the Motorboat Cruise area in the vacinity of the Sub Drydock. I can't imagine what kind of delivery they would be getting today that would be so heavy it had to be moved with a giant 50 foot crane.

I have no clue myself but I can imagine quite a few things:

    Monorail beam being replaced?

    Christmas decoration of some sort?

    Heavy showpiece/prop for Nemo?

Hopefully someone could take pics, I'm guessing it's for the Monorail as they are opening soon, maybe putting on the Monorail train?

Did they remove a piece of the Monorail Beam closer to the lagoon to get a crane back there? Maybe that would explain why the Monorail Opening was pushed back.

I doubt it was a christmas decoration since it was pretty much in a backstage area. Whatever it was they were in the process of moving it since I could see the crane extended from the freeway. It could be a prop from Nemo - but it must be HUGE. Otherwise it could be that they are removing a sub from the lagoon.

It's probably for the giant squidapus animatronic that will pick up the subs and shake them, before squashing them and plunging them cracked and leaking back down into the water. I'm sure the whole "finding Nemo" theme is just a ploy to get unsuspecting guests into the most terrifying ride Disney has ever produced.

Maybe one of the Nautilus subs from Florida? For decoration? That would be cool!

We can only hope....oh wait that would be the Atlantis attraction that never got made! See what happens when you people don't go support Disney movies, what sounded like a great attraction never gets made. Now we are stuck with a LOST FISH!!!!!!!!

I would say monorail, monorail beam/track, the robo-arm Angeler fish, or what Lore said about an AA or something to shake, rattle, and roll the subs. That'll be fun
