  • DCA lagoon...

I know there are many threads about what should be done with the lagoon at DCA, we have said things from large scale shows to mini rides that are beneath the waves, What are your ideas for this area? Does nayone know if Disney will ever touch this lagoon besides with a skimmer net?

My Idea personally is to just put a Wet Design show there which is the company that supplied the show system at the Bellagio, so this is my idea besides tearing the whole thing out, what are yours?

Doesn't really matter what language it's in. Mickey never really had anything interesting to say anyway. He's funnier in Japanese than he ever was in English.

The Bellagio type show with Disney music was pretty much what I had in mind. Something that happened every hour... or every half hour.

That show at Tokyo Disney Seas is pretty cool! A lot of that could definitely be implemented. The lagoon needs to have something on it to entertain guests. A dead body of water with nothing going on is pretty pointless.

Aquatopia in a portion of it? I'd be even stoked if disney characters rowed out on boats during the day as leisure time.

Oh and also... we don't have a cool volcano to pull that disney sea show off. That was rad.

As someone who cares very little about shows, I think they oughta go Tokyo DisneySea and put in a steamliner with some walk on attraction.
I also reiterate my contention that there should be pumped in smells and sound effects (think seagulls, waves, and dingies).
That, or some form of Disneysea's Aquatopia.
Oh, and just bring the damn waves back; every waterpark in this country has a wavepool, yet Disney imagineering apparently can't master the technology.
Forget 'Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln,' Samantha Brown is Disney's most sophisticated animatronic.

I think they ought to put in peddle boats in there like they used to have in the Marina outside the Marina Tower at Disneyland hotel.

Turn it into the old motorboat cruise ride.

Shoot the volcano fireworks off the convention center.

It's like Tomorrowland and the ROA, it needs lots of movement to create some energy. so paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, anything to create some life at the place.
