  • Who performed at your Grad Nite?

I understand that in recent years the Park has stopped featuring live entertainers on Grad Nite, in favor of DJs -- but back in the day, hoo boy. My Grad Nite, in 1988, featured Expose, Roger "Zapp" Troutman and Men Without Hats of "Safety Dance" infamy.

Surely, someone in this forum was a first-hand witness to the New Kids on the Block/Samantha Fox/Information Society terror of Grad Nite '89. Come on, let go of the pain! Stop running from your past! It can't hurt you any more!

In 1992 Paul Rodriguez did Stand up. For the bands I can't remember cause they were ones I didn't like. I went in 1990 but was too busy being lip locked with my bf at the time (Who graduated) that I did not pay attention to the bands.

Stevie B performed from Tom Sawyer Island, This was 1989 I don't remember the bands mentioned above but I'm sure they were there, I was too busy walking on to rides.

Splash Mountain was just a shell with boats and no water.

Yellowcard was at the WDW Grad Nite this year, along with Kevin Lyttle, Ciara, and Ryan Cabrera.

Mine was is 1985 - I think there was a group called 5 Star? I don't even remember. It looked like a bunch of Prince wannabes and I had more fun on the rides. Although I did go dance at Videopolis!!

Hmmmmm.....Different bands on Different nights I wonder. I too also graduated in 85 and we had Cheap Trick, and that group who sang in Eddie Murphy's 48 Hours, and Tommy Tutone (867-5309 Jenny). My Grad Night ruled!!! Got so ripped. Nice when you work there at the time and can stash stuff in your locker the night before your grad night.

Yeah, I think we had the R&B night, because it sounds like you had the white pop group night. hehe!

Now I wonder if they scheduled the schools back then according to demographics???

Oh Yeah, I forgot Animotion was also there that night. A bunch of White folk bands except for the band from 48 hours. Cheap Trick played on ROA, Animotion played at Videopolis, the band from 48 Hours (The "Something" Boys- forgot the name and they just played up here in Santa Cruz a few months back, they sung the song "The Boys are Back in Town" Not the good old Southern Rock original) played in Tomorrowland.
