"Once a man has tasted freedom he will never be content to be a slave. That is why I believe that this frightfulness we see everywhere today is only temporary. Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life. All men will want to be free and share our way of life... I thank God and America for the right to live and raise my family under the flag of tolerance, democracy and freedom."
    -Walt Disney, March 1, 1941

“Whatever success I have had in bringing clean, informative entertainment to people of all ages, I attribute in great part to my Congregational upbringing and my lifelong habit of prayer. To me, today, at age sixty-one, all prayer, by the humble or highly placed, has one thing in common: supplication for strength and inspiration to carry on the best human impulses which should bind us together for a better world. Without such inspiration, we would rapidly deteriorate and finally perish. But in our troubled time, the right of men to think and worship as their conscience dictates is being sorely pressed. We can retain these privileges only by being constantly on guard and fighting off any encroachment on these precepts. To retreat from any of the principles handed down by our forefathers, who shed their blood for the ideals we still embrace, would be a complete victory for those who would destroy liberty and justice for the individual.”

    Interesting.

I noted elsewhere to demo the whole PP hotel. Relocate to further west on the parking lot. Retheme and have more rooms. Then east of the new hotel have DVC units. Then between DVC and Disneyland Drive have limited, un/loading, and guest parking. Then the southwestern part of the DLR's parking have multi-level parking structure, kinda like "Mickey & Friends" but most likely smaller. Then name that "Pixar Pals" .

Yeah, I understand the outside modern world you're talking about. I have ideas to those as well but it's just too detailed and readers usually past my long posts.

I'm not sure that modern San Fransico works in quite right. The idea is to get away from the outrside world and you'd just be brinding in a different version. They really just need a decent berm like you suggest. As for PPH, it's not it's fault its now in the view of the former parking lot. It used to be hidden.

^ I had that thought at the tip of my tongue but couldn't spit it out . Yeah, why bring in a modern San Fransico? The prospect of having a early 1900s SF could bring in an earthquake attraction . And many have expressed interest in SF as the next New Orleans Square and Main Street, USA.

Not saying this is a bad post or anything like that so dont get me wrong but maybe we should also look at some pics that are a bit more recent not that that trees can block a huge hotel but they do block some parts.

I was there recently and can safely say that those buildings and powerlines are still quite visible from inside the park.

Not to derail, but as long as we are talking about the Paradise Pier Hotel, what ever happened to their entrance/exit to the park?
And will they ever open it up again?
