  • Favorite Land

I just thought that I would continue the line of threads that we have had (mind you I do realize that they dont last long)

what is your favorite land and why?

I will start... I enjoy the small world area of Fantasy land... it is very open and gives me space when I need it

Mine, Adventure land. It's not that big but it pack a punch with the rides. Not to mention Jas and Al are stationed there. A Whole New World.

I would have to say New Orleans Square; with a close second with Adventureland.

NOS just has everything - great rides, the Disney Gallery, many types of eating and MINT JULIPS! It is peaceful and it can be wild. Just a little bit of everything.

        Now, with that said...

Tomorrowland was my favorite as a kid and I am getting excited about TL again - Buzz, Space Mtn, Subs and the many rumors of more good things to come to the much neglected Land.

New Orleans Square, followed in a close second by Adventureland. Both those lands have my top four favorite attractions: PotC, Haunted Mansion, Tiki Room, and Jungle Cruise. Not to mention my favorite places to get food: The Tiki Juice Bar, Bengal Barbeque, and the French Market.

Plus, I work in NoS, at the Blue Bayou!!

            Fantasyland, the original area.
            Good morning, son
            In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
            It was pain
            Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

New Orleans! I could just live on the Haunted Mansion and Pirates! And even with the crowds on busy days I just find a weird peace hanging out over there.

I think, even when it was in a sad state of disrepair and had that awful Victorian junk store theming, Tomorrowland is my favorite CONCEPT for a land. It's the land I loved most as a kid, and the land I think has the most potential. (Unless, of course, Disney moved the New Orleans Station to Hungry Bear so NOS could have a third mind-blowingly-awesome ride.) But, putting the Potentiometer aside, I'd say that the Rivers of America makes Frontierland my favorite land.

Fantasyland, followed VERY closely by New Orleans Square! Then Adventureland, Main Street, Frontierland, Toontown, Critter Country, and Tomorrowland.

I like the shade and sun mix of NOS/AL in the morning and the nighttime appeal of Fantasyland/TL at night!

There is so much atmosphere at Disneyland, the attractions are just like a bonus.

Exactly... I mean, that's a huge bonus! But if you look at Walt's creation and its growth in his time, so many of the attractions, from the vehicles on Main St. and the Disneyland Railroad, to the trails through old Frontierland, the RoA, and Jungle Cruise, are built on the concept of enjoying and even becoming part of that atmosphere. And of course, HM and PotC took the same basic idea of atmosphere and put it inside a building...

Plus there are fewer kids in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland at night ! ! !

Did I mention I miss ToonTown every visit with this strategy? LOL.
