Re: Tomorrowland: 1967 - 1997 [PHOTO HEAVY]
Nice postcard collection. when you look at all of these images, there is truly no where else on this planet that looks like this. Especially the night shot of the Matterhorn with the Nuke Submarine below and Monorail overhead. ??what a strange juxtaposition. It is TRULY surreal."As usual he's taken over the coolest spot in the house"- Father re: Orville 1963

I know, I was too little to ever come into the park, I believe my first visit we rode the Skyway, than the next visit they we're gone =( but boy looking at the night shots make me wonder why they never kept it a classic!

I don't remember too much of the early stuff. I only remember a brief scene in Carousel of Progress. My question is it looks like the second level of the carousel was open at that time. Anyonw knows what that was used for?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Tommy Tutone......I was so little when they played there. Being a child of the 80s I miss Captian EO....what I miss even more...Videopolis!!! How me and my little sister thought we were the stuff going to Disneyland and Dancing our butts off at a "club". HAHAHAHAHAHA
Maybe thats why I enjoyed the DCA NYE thing this year, just the thought of loud music and dancing at disneyland made me happy!!! hahaha

Wow. Tomorrowland had so much to do back then and it looked so busy and active. You notice in some shots you seee the Peoplemover, Monorail and Subs all moving about. A far cry from the empty tracks and neglected tomorrowland of present day.sigpic

Now that's what I'm talking about!! It's obvious by looking at those pictures what TL should be! The movement, the excitement!!
How do we get Disney to see this again and finally make them realize?!?!
I too miss those escalators! And the SkyWay and PeopleMover!
