  • Disney Auditions 27th strange question

Does anyone know of the dance we had to do last audition will be the same as this one? I did horrible and I honestly don't know how I got to the next round! I just want to be prepared if it is going to be the same awful dance.

It will not be that same dance as it was in August. Good Luck!

GOOD! Thanks so much I barely got through last time. the problem was I thought they would be watching from the begining so I stayed in the middle back last time and never changed lines...needless to say...I did NOT get the dance at all.

Its usually a rather simple (depends on your dance ability and memory of steps) 32 count dance routine that they teach you step by step in about 10 minutes.

There is going to be a dance we have to perform at the audition?

Yes... after the face cut. They have a dance evaluation at every audition.

Re: Disney Auditions 27th strange question

Are you auditioning for characters or parades?

If you're auditioning for characters, don't worry about how well you learn the dance...worry about HOW you DO it..as in bringing personality to whatever movement you do do. By all means learn the dance if you can, but regardless of how comfortable you are with the steps, add "something" to your movement. Possibilities include shy, clumsy, girly, etc. I would say if you know whether you're Goofy height, Pluto height, or Mickey height, then go with one of the character personalities in that range. For example, if you were playing, say... Grumpy, how would Grumpy dance it? How about if you were playing Goofy, or Tigger? What if you were on the Fantasmic monkey boats? Or if you're going for a face character, how would a graceful princess do it? (For that you may have to actually have the dance down...)

And whatever personality you pick, commit to it, don't try to be everything, just be Something. Remember they want to know that you can bring life to a non-talking character, right?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Re: Disney Auditions 27th strange question

the dance was simple...it was my shoes ( do not wear any sort of track shoe!!!!) and I thought we were going to be evaluated while we were learning the dance so when all the girls were taking turns in line one getting a good view I stayed in the middle back as to blend it....well that was totally not how it works! When they let us go outside and practice I started to panic...THEN they made us come back in and called for at a time to do it in front of everyone! Hah it was bad. To make matters worse they were also casting for a princess affair or something like that so they kept saying "have good arms"...well I'm sure they like to see some sort of grace in the routine even if you don't know it...but it was quite a ridiculous event. I know for next time..STAY IN THE FRONT LINE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!
