  • 11/21:Skyway Station, with it's lights on!

I was walking through Fantasyland on Sunday night, and I saw something odd up in the trees. The old abandoned Skyway Station had it's lights on! Not work lights, but the lights it had as if it was running. You could see all the inside, it's "Swiss" architecture all lit up. This was exciting to see because I have not been able to see the inside of the station in years! I wonder why the lights were on. Could WDI be looking at it? Somone turned on the wrong switch? One of the cats hit a switch on accident? The ghost of the dead ride playing with the lights? Who knows. Anyway, here's a long exposure shot I took of what I saw...

From a different angle, you could see the back wall.

Perhaps the Spirit of Skyway Past has been angered.

Fear him! Oh be merciful might one! They knew not what they did!

Maybe people are just cleaning it?

That's really interesting. I wonder if somethings actually going on or if someone happened to turn on the lights....only time will tell.

Why would they clean that if the Submarine Voyage was allowed to rot under water for almost a decade?

                      Peculiar indeed.

I did hear that, while Matt was here, he wanted to either bring it back but go to DCA, or turn it into a wedding chapel.

A wedding chapel would be cool...maybe it'll be another gift shop!

Umm, there hasn't been a Tomorrowland Skyway Station in, like, 12 years because they took that station out when construction began on the then "New Tomorrowland 1998" project. So, whatever you saw last year is anybody's guess.
