  • Tell Me About The Candy Cane Inn.

I will be visiting Disneyland from March 31st until April the 4th. I have booked the Candy Cane Inn. I have booked one of their Premium Rooms. I was able to take advantage of my AAA discount. I am curious about the hotel. I remember when I first read about Disneyland years ago, it was the Candy Cane Inn that I wanted to stay at. When I first visited the Disneyland Resort for the 50th Anniversary, I was not able to book the Candy Cane Inn, because it was already booked for July 17, 2005.

Have you ever stayed at the Candy Cane Inn? Have you ever stayed in one of their Premium Rooms? I would appreciate your reviews of this hotel. Thank you.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't I read somewhere that they had a bed bug problem?

I liked the room, the breakfast, and the shuttle. The grounds are nicely kept. There is a 7 11 next door that is very convenient as well as a few restaurants accross the street. Only drawback for me was the size of the pool - that's only because of my kids. I recommend it.

I think that was rats but only outside - and I've never seen them.

I was disappointed when it wasn't actually made of real candy canes.

Not sure if they had them as well, but the place that had a huge problem was the Fairfield Inn... (the lady actually had over 100 bites)

My family and I have stayed at the Candy Cane a few times. We've always enjoyed it. Our rooms have been clean - no bed bugs or rats.

Their shuttle is great. One time, there wasn't enough room on the shuttle for us so they went, dropped the people, then came back for us. Also, it's only about a 10 minute walk, if you don't want to wait for the shuttle.

The breakfast was good, but somewhat lacking in protein (not a problem for me, but DH was missing his eggs). The pool is definitely on the small side, but our kids liked it anyway.

I think you'll enjoy your stay there.

Ok THAT is the one I was thinking of. I read about that lady. Sorry, I was confused.

The Candy Cane is the best! The rooms are nice, you can walk or take their private shuttle to and from the park - the flowers and look of the place is very nice. And they have a really good free breakfast in the morning! (oh yeah, and make sure you pick up a few candy cane shaped pens!!)

                    Thank You.

Barbaraann - I will probably be taking a tour of the Candy Cane in a couple of weeks - I will take a bunch of pictures for you! But, is one of the nicest places to stay off of disney property. My mom is a travel agent and that's where she puts all of her groups.

When we usually go, we generally stay at the Candy Cane. Great hotel/service and food. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

We stay there every Disneyland trip. The rooms are clean the grounds are nice and the FREE shuttle is great when you get tired and need to go back to the room. We don't use the pool but everyone I have seen in the pool seems to enjoy it. The breakfast is continental with a nice selection of danish, muffins, bagels, toast, dry cereal, oatmeal and fresh fruit. On trip advisor it is always ranked either the #1 or #2 hotel in anaheim ahead of any on property hotel. The staff is friendly and check in is a breeze (especially if you have your confirmation information with you). You booked a premium room which comes with nicer amenities including a welcome basket and higher quality shampoo and lotion. You can also have breakfast delivered to your room instead of going to the breakfast room which get crowded early. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice place to sleep in a quiet little inn. It is not a 5 star hotel but it is nice!
