Sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot. This is from the Union newspaper regarding The Vault in DTD:

"The store sells everythig from costume jewelry to apparel but its dimly lit, grunge-soaked decor is the novelty that promises to introduce the happiest place on earth to the seedier side of suburbia."

Point one: Do we want the "seedier" side of suburbia here?
Point two: The people in the picture that accompanies the article are dressed similar to most of the people I see in the park. Is that considered "seedy"?
This paragraph bothers me, on one hand it says we want to bring in seedy people to a "family" environment, but on the other hand, it calls most of the people that come to DL seedy, rather an insult.
Please discuss....

Doesn't bother me what they sell in DTD one way or the other, but I have a colossal problem with the name. Nothing called "Disney Vault," whatever number's behind it, should sell anything but, well, STUFF FROM THE DISNEY VAULT!!!!

This is in the right spot, don't worry. Since it is in the Disneyland resort.

It's just a marketing campaign to really help the "high end" Disney Vault products come across as hip and edgy. It is targeting a certain demographic.

I don't tipically go to DTD so yeah...Just kinda weird how it's almost like a hollywood strip rather than a disneyland themed area

Watched my wife drop $300 in there last week.

She loved it, and is totally happy w/her purchases.

So I guess it worked for her.

Merchandise in Vault 28. They were aiming for the
Couture market. Unfortunately the Store arrived
DOA. $125 to $175 for latex figures of the Cheshire
Cat, the same size and feel as a pet's squeeky toy,
BUT without the squeeker.

Men's $40 T-shirts so thin, they wear out after one wash
in gentle cycle. Some merchandise that can be found
in the World of Disney Store, only here you are not allowed
to use your AP discount.

Don't look for any other Vault 28's opening near you.
This one won't be open for very long.

i haven't even gone into the Vault becuse just walking by it gave me the impression that they dont' sell anything in plus sizes

I have only been in there twice and was not impressed either time. It is expensive things that look cheaply made. I have seen some of the purses they sell in there on Hollywood Blvd for half the price. You can find them other places, you are just paring for the name and location.
