  • Anbody feel cool Listening to "Higher Ground?"

With the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Higher Ground" on Space Mountain, I have to ask this: Do you guys feel cool when you listen to this song?

I watched this video on YouTube, and well, someone left a comment saying "I feel cool when I hear this song."

As for me, well, yeah, I do feel cool.

I dont have to listen to TRHCP to feel cool

I hate to say this, but, I like the Stevie Wonder version a LOT better.

        I feel cool.

To be fair, I should mention I have pneumonia, and it could be the feverish chills coursing through my body, but hey- let's not split hairs.

RHCP are like the beach boys. Not a whole lot of substance or soul, but they will do in a pinch.

I prefer Stevie Wonder's original, it's so much more hopeful.

When I hear the song on Space I like the way it fits the ride but I always end up wondering what TDA is trying to say with the coice of verses they used for the ride. Hardly seems random or innocuous.

Wonder if they had to get Stevie's permission as well as the RCHPs before using the song.
                    IMO - YMMV - FYIGM

                      Um, no?
                      Good morning, son
                      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                      It was pain
                      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Well it is a free country, so do whatever is in your heart.

Let me explain whey they are like the Beach Boys.

Beach Boys = Lame corporate music for the masses with little effort.

                          RHCP= Please see above.

I feel cooler than cool. The Chili Peppers have been rockin away on my MC avater coaster for around a year now. It's only fitting that we should all chill to Screamin's pulsating Higher Ground.

If Stevie wants to Wonder aboard...well, the more the merrier. The Beach Boys keep those a lovin' Good...Vibrations happenin', too.
