  • Is the dessert special for viewing Fantasmic worth it?

We have always talked about doing it, then backed out for one reason or another. Just ordered our 5 day passes, will be there for the 17th. Thought we may go all out and try to go to the Fantasmic dessert special on one of the days. What can anyone tell us that has been there?

I have had the privilege of sitting up there a couple of times as I knew leads and sup's from Westside attractions- this is prior to them charging to sit up there. I have also tasted the dessert that they serve and thought it was ok. But I am extremely picky on my desserts as my husband says, i've got expensive taste on sweets. Anyway, since you are visiting, I suggest making reservations anyway as the view up there in my opinion is great.

I second Mrs. News's critique. I've been up on the balcony before they got the idea of charging for it and it's the absolute best spot to see the show.

We've entertained clients there several times while paying full price. I'm not too fond of desserts. It's the least important part of the meal to me. They were ok - good. All I really liked were the fresh strawberries and other fruits.

If you can afford it, it's the only way to see it.

I've sat in the balcony a couple of times and it is the second best spot to see the show. THe best part is free and right in front of Tower 2. But, there's nothing like being treated to a special occasion and wonderful service. Everyone should do it at least once.

Oh, and make sure you get the balcony and not the lower level seating. That area is not as good and I don't recommend it.

OMG! $53? You've got to be kidding me. When they first started charging it was $30.

Oy. I can bet I should cross that off my birthday list.

It started out at $25 per person with a guest count of 12.

                        Now it's $53 a person and a guest count of 24.

My last time was 40 something and you could not move plus there was no place to set you desserts or beverages. I don't balance well LOL

Sorry the balcony is just too crowded for me. And this is from someone that's paid to be on the balcony 8 times.

It's $53 per seat - no price break for kids. We just got back from DL Monday night and saw the Sat eve Fantasmic show. The view really is great, as was the service. I agree that the desserts were good, but not out of this world. However, there were plenty of them and no one went hungry. We met a couple who had just disembarked from the Disney Magic cruise ship and got to hear all about their trip through the canal. That was almost as much fun as watching Fantasmic!

Anyone know what happened to the dragon effect on Sat eve? Malifecent didn't transform as she grew and Mickey had to shoot her with a rigged up firework effect instead of a stream from his sword.

i would think that it would be... but that is something that he always does... although it might look strange to see a man following me around on his knees and praising me as we are walking through disneyland
