  • New Fantasyland Commercial

    Hey everyone! I found this ultra rare New Fantasyland Commercial and posted this onYouTube and wanted to share with you all here! This is the Disneyland I remember and the New Fantasyland was among the highlights during my second visit to Disneyland!

      I think you could hear the smoke machines pumping the smoke out from the castle to make it look foggy hahaha.

          Wow, I've never seen that before. The NEW FANTASYLAND!, very interesting - not so new anymore - I guess it would be classified as "classic" now.

            It sounded like Paul Frees. Awesome! I wish I could experience that excitement of something really big at Disneyland again. Something new, and actually good too. Something like the "new" Fantasyland.

              Yes that is a Paul Frees voiceover.

              Note that the drawbridge is partially raised. That's a pretty rare sight.

                        I hear the drawbridge was only lowered twice:

                        Once during the land's dedication on Disneyland's grand opening day (that familiar black and white shot showing the children running across the lowered drawbridge.

                        And a second time when the land was rededicated in '83. I've heard that some of the same children who were there in 1955 came back as adults for the ceremony and crossed the bridge just as they did decades before.
