  • 2007 California Food & Wine Weekends - Event listing and reservations now available.

    Disneyland.com has listed the events for the 2007 California Food & Wine Festival. The website makes no mention of the specially priced hors d'oeuvres that were offered last year at the Lucky Fortune Cookery and Farmers Market dining locations at DCA.

    To participate in any of the wine and alcohol seminars and events you must be 21 years of age or older. Some events such as the Napa Rose Cooking School reccomend being 21 years or older, but do not require it.

    Here's a run-down of this year's events.

    COMPLIMENTARY EVENTS
    Culinary Demonstrations
    Watch the pros in action as you discover new twists on timeless classics, learn about exotic spices and collect essential cooking tips. Best of all — at the end of the demonstration you get the chance to sample the chef's delicious creations.
    Dates: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the Festival
    Time: Please consult the event locations for the daily schedule.
    Length: 30 minutes
    Location: The Upper Terrace of the Golden Vine Winery and at Pacific Wharf

    Wine, Beer and Spirits Tasting Seminars
    Dates: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the Festival
    Time: Please consult the event locations for the daily schedule.
    Length: 30 to 45 minutes
    Location: The Lower Patio of the Golden Vine Winery and the Pacific Wharf Stage

    Educational and Lifestyle Seminars
    Take advantage of a unique opportunity to learn about the "other side of food." Discover how health, wellness, diet, exercise and special dietary needs affect the way we think about food and ourselves.
    Dates: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the Festival
    Time: Please consult the event locations for the daily schedule.
    Length: 30 to 45 minutes
    Location: The Pacific Wharf Stage and in the Seasons of the Vine theater


    SIGNATURE EVENTS
    Reservation information for all of the Signature Events (except for Taste)will be available at the www.CaliforniaFoodAndWineWeekends.com website, beginning March 5.

    Annual Passholder Exclusive Event.
    Reservation information will be available at www.Disneyland.com/AP beginning March 1.
    Date: Saturday, May 12, 2007
    Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    Location:Price: $100 per person (including tax and gratuity, no discounts apply)

    Celebrity Chef Dinners
    Mingle with the stars of the culinary world as you enjoy a cocktail reception and chat with the very special guest chef. Your celebrity chef will prepare a stellar four-course vintner's menu paired with exceptional wines from Napa Rose's renowned wine cellar.
    April 26 — Donna Scala, Owner – Bistro Don Giovanni, Napa Valley
    May 3 — Robert Curry, Executive Chef – Auberge du Soleil, Napa Valley
    May 10 — Chef Jamie Gwen
    Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m
    Location:Price: $145 per person (including tax and gratuity, no discounts apply)
    Seating is limited and advanced reservations are required. This experience is recommended for Guests who are at least 21 years of age.

    Winemaker Dinners
    April 27 – Silverado Vineyards – Jonathan Emmerich, Winemaker
    May 4 – Beaulieu Vineyard – Jeffrey Stambor, Winemaker
    May 11 – Levendi Estates – Alison Doran, Winemaker
    May 18 – Miner Family Vineyards – Dave Miner, Owner
    Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    Location:Price: $125 per person (including tax and gratuity, no discounts apply)

    Napa Rose Cooking School

    Dates: Saturdays April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19
    Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Location:Price: $325 per person (including tax and gratuity, no discounts apply)

    Festival Wine Receptions – Presented by Mirassou Winery
    Enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars, sampling exquisite wines and enjoying mouth-watering hors d'oeuvres. Discover a new favorite vintage as you mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts.
    Dates: Saturdays April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19
    Time: 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    Location: Lower Patio of the Golden Vine Winery
    Price: $45 per person (including tax and gratuity, no discounts apply)

    Introduction to Wine Tasting
    Discover how to expertly choose the right wine for any occasion. Study tasting techniques and terms, how smell and taste are integral to the enjoyment of wine, the proper way to serve wine and what types of wine glasses are appropriate for each wine.
    Dates: Saturdays April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19, 2007
    Time: 2:00 p.m.
    Location: The Bay Area across from Golden Dreams
    Price: $20 per person (including tax and gratuity, no discounts apply)

    Thanks for the info! I enjoyed this event last year and I'm glad to see they are expanding it. Is the AP event a first time thing ? $100 for it oh well, I will probably go anyways. There better be some really "excellent wines" there.

      $100 is a bargain compared to the $325 Napa Rose Cooking School!

        The new AP newsletter does talk about using the Lucky Fortune Cookery as a place to try new foods (for a price), of course they can't use the Farmer's Market this year.
