Is there a place to park for free close to the park. The $10 each time is killing me.

I don't really think so, unless you don't mind being towed
Seriously, if you go that frequently you should think about an AP with parking. Originally we had Deluxe passes and only added parking to one of them, but we didn't like the blackouts, so for the last 4 we've had premium which includes parking.
Of course, not thet we've moved to scottsdale we only get to go every couple of months. sigh

In the days before the M&F Structure, there was free parking available for those who didn't mind a bit of a walk - in the residential neighborhood just to the west of the Disneyland Hotel. You could park for free and walk through the hotel to grab the monorail or just continue on through the parking lot (on a trek that seemed so much longer before a bunch of stores and restaurants surrounded it).
Since the construction of the structure, Downtown Disney and - more important - a new road configuration on that side of the Park, it would be a whole lot longer of a walk from this neighborhood all the way around north to Ball or south to Katella.
And so, since it's no longer worth the trouble anymore, I'm not even sure whether the neighborhood hasn't gone to permit parking. It hardly matters, since cutting off the through road to it has made that neighborhood miles further away, and the pay lots of the Disneyland Resort are now the only game in town.
That'll be ten dollars, mista.

What is the current tow fee with one day storage, about $150... so it is a gamble.... if you get caught just once in 15 times, you have paid your fee...
The bus stops on Harbor just next to the Main Entry Plaza, you can always take that, but that is at least $2 round trip......Check out my Theme Park Photos at http://darkbeer.smugmug.com

Whenever we visit DL and eat at a restrauant across the street, Mimi's, etc, we can usually find parking. This is a good indication that not many people try to park there for DL (or it would be full), which is a good indication that the merchants don't put up with it...Last edited by Whatever; 01-29-2005, 08:37 AM.
