  • ToonTown Train Station

    Quick meaningless, pointless, random question.

Why is the train station near ToonTown labled as ToonTown's train station and not Fantasyland? The entrance isn't even in ToonTown, nor does the station reside in that land either. It's always kind of made me wonder.

I have no answer, but, they even have cute cartoon suitcases up there. I think it's rather cute myself.

Why don't you ask what the name was of the station BEFORE toon town!

LOL, okay, maybe the better question is, WHY was it changed to ToonTown's Train Station? Was it just because they wanted to add one more "attraction" to ToonTown's roster, or was it because the people involved (hopes I don't get killed for this) were just stupid?

Yeah, what WAS it called prior to Toontown? We'd have to do some research. But, that's too much work. ha! It could be the Small World station, but, then they'd take out the cute luggage.

My best guess was/is to promote Toon Town.

Fantasyland Station was rethemed to a somewhat "cartoonish" design in 1992 to correspond with the new Mickey's Toontown, which opened in January, 1993.

Okay, I get that. However, the question I have then is why does the train still spit you out into Fantasyland when it's supposed to be a ToonTown train stop? It makes no sense. If they were going to make it for ToonTown then they should have figured out a way to have it empty out INTO ToonTown.

I guess I just expect too much out of Disney these days.

Well, Toontown does close early for the fireworks...
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

But doesn't Toontown close earlier than the rest of the park? That wouldn't work well for crowd control...

oh come on, you know you just really want them to tear down the fantasyland theater, call it the "Frontierland Station" and add in the Western River Expidition!

Well, then I hate to make the obvious, well, obvious, but then in my opinion they should have just left it as Fantasyland's Train Station. It's not a huge deal, mind you, it's just kind of one of those things that makes a person in passing go, "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm..."

ROFL! HA HA! Now you're talkin'! Maybe even have a "survival" moment where Charlie The Cougar (Yes, I am going that far back in the Disney archives) tries to have you for lunch! Talk about guest interaction!!!
