  • Pipe in the lagoon loading area-

Sorry for a new thread... I'm used to MI and their all encompassing sub thread...

    http://darkbeer.smugmug.com/gallery/2606900#137514770

Check it out, what's this black plastic suspended pipe they're installing above the loading area? Temp while they finish the loading area? Or will it be hanging there as part of the loading station theming? The fixtures do look rather nice...

If you look at the picture you will see the silver pipe on the deck of load area.
That pipe is supply clean water back lagoon. So Disneyland Did not want to dig-up the queue area. I think the black pipe hanging from the monorail platform will be filter plants return water line.

I need to take look at more of darkbeer great photo to see how far it goes. It look like all the way to the monorail exit stairs. Now how in disneyland going to hide that?

So what do you think about that?

      another Darkbeer great photos.

Sorry this is OT, but what exactly happened to MI? They're just gone.

I wonder if that pipe has something to do with all the plumbing problems Al Lutz mentioned a few months ago.

That could be a temporary fix until they fix the schematic problem that caused the "whirlpool" near the entrance. That water needs to be filtered so those pipes must go to the filtration plant.

I think its funny that we get excited over drainage pipes. Me included.
Anyone up for a Colorado Micechatters meet-up?

Hey TP2000 nice to hear from some of the MI family... I dunno what happened and am trying to find out to, but I just hope they're back soon I absolutely miss it and miss all the people from that site.

I also think the pipe has to do with the rumptured pipe... Maybe a replacement they didnt want to bury?

Perhaps, a temp pipe above the workspace while they bury the one underneath it?

Its permanent and the answer to the flooding that was caused by an old pipe they filled in with concrete. As stated previously, I wish they would have ran it under the dock it is pretty ugly.

time and money, maybe in the future they will relocate it under the dock... but to meet the deadline, they cannot tear up the dock they already rebuilt..

opening summer = pipe where it is

opening fall = bury pipe probably..

You gotta be kidding me? They are seriously going to put that ugly pipe right over people when they enter this pretty attraction? Why couldn't they have put the pipe in the water on the lagoon floor running parallel to the dock? They had the perfect opportunity to do this while the lagoon was drained. So far I'm quite disappointed in their effort to hide pipes around the station including power boxes that provide the subs electricity.

Well, this pipe can easily be painted and themed into the "light industrial" look I assume the load dock will eventually have.
