  • This August: Is AAA discount the best I'll do?

We're starting to plan another trip to Disneyland and so far it looks like the cheapest I can find a room, either room-only or part of a package is through AAA. (The AP room-only rates are comparable; I don't have an AP and it's unlikely that we'll do CA next summer -- it's a long trip from NJ and this will be the third year in a row for us.)

When I take out the "package" cost (for 2 adults and 1 child, I'm not sure it depends on the # of travelers) of $42 and the admission, the least expensive rooms for the first week in August at Paradise Pier, the Disneyland Hotel, and the Grand Californian are $275, $304, and $404 per night respectively. (That includes the tax and resort fee.)

Is this the best I'm likely to do?

And why, oh, why, did they have to get rid of the AAA Fastpass feature?!? We loved that!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

hello, you need to check on www.mousesavers.com they list best room rates, ticket prices etc. Also costo.com you can pull up travel and get their rates even if you are not a member. Then you can decide if it is worth the $40. membership fee.

"No, but you can tell how much it is going to cost."
