  • Afterthoughts of a Disneyland Vacation

I just returned from a 4 day vacation to the Disneyland Resort. I visited there with my grandson, and his mom. I had an absolutely marvelous time. We arrived on Saturday, March 31st and stayed until the 4th of April. It was my 3rd trip to California.

I was really looking forward to the MiceChat Meet on April the 1st. If you have ever attended a MiceChat Meet, you know the feeling. You are excited, and nervous at the same time. It was not my first meet, but it was supposed to be very well attended.

When the day came, I was just going to show up at the Hub around 11:30, and sit on the bench near Goofy, and introduce myself to whoever showed up first. Well, I met up with some familiar faces early, and we actually arrived at the Meet together. It was - to be quite frank - a little overwhelming from that point.

I spoke to people briefly that I knew. I shook a lot of hands. I stood alone by myself for a while. I took some photos. In a crowd of that size, you don't mean to be standoffish. You hope to make the most of the moment. After all this is part of the reason that I was visiting Disneyland.

Let me just say. I had a great time on my Disneyland vacation. Meeting MiceChatters is way up there on the Happy Scale.

It could only have been better, if Jiminy would have came down off that float and gave me an autograph.

Barbaraann, once again I am so glad you enjoyed your Disneyland visit in all of its various aspects.

It was a magical time for me as well, along with so many other MiceChatters you came in contact with.

Can't wait to see you and Kathy and Sean again.

Aw...you know, I took a pic of Jiminy on Tuesday on that float and instantly thought of you. It's in my TR.

It was great to meet you! I'm just sad I didn't make the meet but glad I did get there at all!
