  • Long walk from Paradise Pier Hotel?

I'm going down in september. we were going to stay at the Grand California Hotel but its too pricey so were gonna stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel. How long of a walk is it? Anyone have a map? I looked at google earth but I couldn't see how you get in to the park or whatever.

So from the hotel, how long walking distance? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? Thanks.

Between 5 and 10 I'd say - but you could always take it to the Monorail in Downtown Disney and take that into the park. Just an idea....but at least for the 'first entrance' into the park, there's nothing like going through those entry gates.

it's just as far as the howard johnson's. It was quite a walk, but you can always cut through the GCH. We haven't stayed there since they closed the special entrance into DCA. We liked that entrance.

There's nothing like arriving in Tomorrowland in my opinion!

You can also go into the Grand Caifornian and then take the entrance into DCA if you are a guest at one of the DLR hotels. That's also a five to ten minute walk.

The Paradise Pier Hotel is very nice...I love the theming and the furniture in the rooms!

I loved Paradise Pier when I stayed there. I thought the walk was easy because you could go through GCH.

            I'd stay there again.

I'd snake across the parking lots into DTD and either monorail in if going to DL or cut thru GCH if going to DCA.

There are many ways to get to Disneyland (as stated above)

                You could walk:
-Across the Street through the Grand Californian to DCA
-Across the Street through the Grand Californian to Downtown Disney to the Disneyland Main Gates/Esplanade
-Through the "back" of the PPH(toward the parking garage), past the DLH, into Dtd, and onto the monorail
-Or take the above stated route but no monorail, but walk through DtD.

If you want to walk directly to the Disneyland Gates, it is shorter distance to walk through the Grand Californian to DtD, than to walk around back of the PPH to go through DtD

                Hope this Helps!

If I was staying at the Paradise Pier, I'd want to walk through the corridor between Starabilias and the LEGO Imagination Center. Is doing so possible?

Also, it would be nice to be able to take a monorail train from there to the Main Entry Plaza between the two parks.

At PPH, if the valets aren't busy, they will grab a golf cart and shuttle you over to the GCH entrance. The valets seem to get as big a kick out of it as we did! Otherwise, we used the monorail at DTD. It's about a 5 minute walk since you can cut through parking lots.

Ok, I want your guys' opinion on something. I can either:

A: Stay at the paradise Pier hotel, and have a longer walking distance but a nice hotel

B: Stay at the Carousel Hotel and have a much shorter walk distance

Is it worth the extra walking distance to stay at Paradise? Is it something a disney fan "needs to see" or is it just like any other hotel? I know the view is great, but anything else? I know the Grand California Hotel was cool...

I am not trying to scare you away, but when crossing the street between GCH and PP, be very careful because that street is VERY busy and if I am correct, a family was hit by a car while crossing... so just keep a watchful eye for cars that may appear to not be slowing down when approaching

I also want to warn you but not alarm you that it's not the walk you should be concerned about, it's the wait for the elevator. But no, I would still prefer the PPH over any non-Disney hotel if you can afford it.

How "Disney" is the Paradise Pier hotel? Does anyone have pictures? I've seen one picture and, besides the view, it doesn't look to special.
