Music is such an important part of the Disneyland experience. And, the pieces to which Disney holds exclusive rights embody a significant competitive advantage for the company. But, many Disney songs and scores are currently just sitting unused in the Disney library. So, what pieces, both Disney and non-Disney, would you like to hear at Disneyland that aren't currently being played there? And, where would you like to hear this music?

Being that the Matterhorn is on the Swiss-Italian border I thought they should also play some Italian music in addition to all the yodeling which, with all due respect, is somewhat obnoxious. I was thinking something on the lines of the Tarantella, Funiculi Funicula, or Chribiribin. These songs are very lively and would match the mood of the bobsled going quickly around the mountain.

Great thread, Prag-- I'd like to hear more of "Bedknobs and Broomsticks"'s FANTASTIC musical score:
      "The Age of Not Believing"--Fantasyland
      "Portobello Road"--Fantasyland/Main Street
      "Substitutiary Locomotion"--Main Street
      "The Beautiful Briny"--Fantasyland/Sub Queue
Do these location choices really fit the music? Probably not all, but I would love to hear them in a Parade, or in any Land of the Parks.

Excellent idea Swab! I just got it on dvd and realized how many greats songs are in that movie that I had forgotten over the years-

Also, in Adventureland, which could use some new musical variety, I would love to hear "Jungle Book" selections:
          "I Wanna Be Like You"
"Bare Necessities" (a possible fit for Critter Country as well?)
even "Trust In Me" has that exotic, snake-charmer flavor that would be a proper fit (in my opinion) in Adventureland.

I would love to hear more music from Happiest Millionaire, Summer Magic played on Main Street.

Would love to hear music from One and Only Genuine Original Family Band played in Frontierland.

"Newsies" produced some great music by Alan Menken and J.A.C. Redford. "Rooftop" and the film's finale would be perfect for Town Square. "Escape from Snyder" and "Fightin' Irish" remind me of Center Street. And, an instrumental version of "Santa Fe" would give Frontierland more of a mood.

Oh and also regarding the Matterhorn, again. They should play also "The Lonely Goatherd" from The Sound of Music. I don't see any problem with that, especially because they already play "Kansas City" from Oklahoma! on Main Street.

Alan Silvestri's overture to "Father of the Bride" and the Canaima portions of the "Arachnophobia" score in the Bay Area section of D.C.A. would be more appropriate than Hans Zimmer's "Cool Runnings" music.

Robbie Williams' rendition of "Beyond the Sea" from "Finding Nemo" makes me think of oceanfront dancing at Avalon Cove.
