  • Second week of March '08

Anyone have any idea what's going on that week that has all the "closer" hotels booked already or are they just not booking that far out?

I was looking into taking my sister, her BF, and my DD sometime that week. My sister and her BF have never been to DL.

Can anyone recommend a hotel/motel that's maybe a little farther out that has a shuttle?

    Thanks in advance.

Were you trying to search for available hotels through the Disneyland website? I've been looking into making a trip in Feb. 2008 and it says no rooms are available regardless of which dates I search. As nearly as I can tell, you can't make reservations that far in advance unless you actually call them.

Yes, you usually have to call them to make a reservation that far in advance.

Actually, I looked on the Disney site, Expedia, and hotels.com. Hopefully it's just too far out.

It's hard to tell, but there are conventions that will book blocks of hotel rooms way in advance for their attendies. Some of them will become avaliable as the date approaches. I'd keep checking the sites. It is still early. I was able to get a room at Paradice Pier at a discount three weeks before my father's February visit this year.

I'm actually just trying to get pricing at this point. I'm thinking I can get a decent enough room for 4 for around $100-125/nt. I told them I'd pay for the room since I'd have to have it anyway. I won't even know until the first of the year if they are both going or if it's gonna be a girl's weekend. lol If he doesn't go (he goes off on a tangent and gets to being a PIA/ stick in the mud occassionally) we'll just invite one of the kid's friends.

I always have to save up for our trips so I need to figure out about how much I need to save every month. Plus, my sister will need to save up too. I also don't want to take her on her first trip when it's gonna be packed. I want her to get to enjoy it without having to deal with a huge crowd. Gotta get her hooked ya know?
