While it seems that most folks went over to the Premier we went over to DCA for the last weekend of the Food & Wine Fest and the Wine Reception.

Good, it's open late so we can go on rides afterwards if we like, this time.

First off the Gargiulo wine tasting.

April Gargiulo spoke about the wines and the earth they grow in

A quick run over to DL for the buttons they were giving out and a quick look at the gateway for the Premier

Back to DCA for the Flora Springs wine tasting. They were still getting it ready and Elizabeth was pouring the wines.

Judimouse brought chocolate coins to go with the wines.

A quick trip on Screamin'. A tad blurry but the this is the Midway Mania construction taking shape upside down from the top of the loop.

Off to a cooking demonstration on "Cooking With Port" where the chef made a reduction sauce and served it over a salad with sauteed Brie.

Finally, it's time for the reception. The foods and wine were exceptional. A great job by Disney.

The cheese platter was beautiful, and tasty.

    As were the other offerings.

    Chatters were a happy bunch.

    Page two upcoming.

    The wines flowed all evening.

And Aristocat and Hubster knew how to take advantage of the wines. And, what to do if you can't decide which you like best, have two.

    An unexpected visit from friends.

    Let the posing begin!

The reception wrapped up as the Electrical Parade passed by.

Time for one last ride on Screamin' and a look over at the lit up Cove.

Great report! It was so nice to run into you during all the chaos on Main Street. Looks like you had a great time. We saw the electrical parade also, but I was "photoed out".

In my own defense, the woman serving the wine suggested I take both...so I could compare and contrast.

Of course, by that time, I could have been drinking vinegar and probably wouldn't have known the difference.

I must say, part of me is glad the Food and Wine Weekends are over...and that part is my liver.

          It's pickled. )

That reception was one of my favorite things about the whole Food & Wine Festival!

I definitely have to go to more of the "happenings" at the Food & Wine Festival next year....looks like everyone had a great time!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!
