  • Christmas Entertainment...

Can anyone tell me when all the Christmas entertainment begins at Disneyland this year? I have a family member flying in from the East Coast on 11/1 and staying until 11/15.

I was hoping she'll be able to see the Christmas Parade, Christmas Fireworks and *snow*. Plus the newest addition to the line up this year, the *snow* on the castle.

The calendar for Disneyland only goes through September, so I'm hoping someone has some insight to the Christmas holiday entertainment. Thanks in advance!

Usually by the middle of the month they've got most of it up and running. Santa doesn't arrive until after Thanksgiving.

Also - we were there for Christmas in 2000, after TG, and it was absolutely amazing.....

Went again around 11/12 in 2003, and it seemed like only half of the decorations were up, just not as magical as it had been the last time. Although - it was DL, so still magical for me!!!!

A CM told me that they don't get into full swing, and full decor, until TG weekend....

Usually the Christmas Parade start the Weekend before Thankgiving.

Haunted Mansion Holiday is usually up by the 1st weekend in October,
so that will be there. Small World Holiday may be open before 11/15.

There are so many Christmas decoration, it does take a while to get
everything up. I was in DL in October last year, and it was fun to
see the progression of additional christmas light, decorations, and
ornaments hanging around New Orleans Square, on a day to day basis.

She will probably get to see the fireworks and the decorations. Those should start around Veteran's Day weekend. The parade probably will not start until Thursday the 15th or Friday the 16th. I forgot if they started it on a Thursday or Friday last year.

Not to mention this year Main Street and the castle are rumored to get new decorations, so it'll be interesting to see how everything progresses this time around.

I went for Christmas 05 and it was awsome, they did both Christmas and the 50 celebration so it was twice as magical, the best part was when they made it snow, I know it was just foam but it was amazing.

I'll agree with that being the best xmas. I was kinda sad when 06 came around cause to me it wasn't as great as 05, in my own opinion

The only exception is that they showed RDCT instead of Believe!.In Holiday Magic, for the 50th anniversary. And RDCT ended up being cancelled most of the time I went during the 05 Holiday season .

Don't you mean the "holiday" decorations?

During the 50th Christmas Celebration, They
didn't have the garland hanging over Main Street,
so it didn't seem quite the same, although all
the gold decorations on the tree were beautiful!

That's right! This year they are suppose to be
introducing some "magical" decorations on the castle!
Can't wait to see those! And last year they
had a giant "snowglobe" off to the left hand side
of the castle. That was only there from Dec 1
                        thru Dec 25.

The decorations will be up the Friday of Veterans Day weekend..November 10. The fireworks and snow begin that weekend also....along with Santa's Reindeer Roundup, the yummy gingerbread men and other Holiday goodies.

We are going again this year the week between the decorations and the parade beginning...a GREAT time to go...will be our third year...crowds (except for the holiday weekend) are light, lines short, and last year we did not even wear long sleeves in the evening. We have seen the parade once, and loved it, but not sure I would fight the crowds to see it again!!

The Christmas parade does not begin until the next weekend.

Last year the Garland was back over Main Street.
