    Plaza Pavilion

It was a nice restaurant, before it became the annual passport processing center, then some cookies for kids place, or something. Remember it? I forget what they served, though...but it was a little cheaper than the Plaza Inn.

This was from Google Archive from http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/Cabana/6495/main.html

Plaza Pavilion (Extinct). The Plaza Pavilion is the other buffeteria at the end of Main Street, specializing in pastas. Unfortunately, it's often not open for business unless it's a very busy day. In fact, the odds are good that the Pavilion might never reopen its doors. Sponsored by Contadina.
      Location
Sitting between Main Street and Adventureland, the Pavilion building and kitchen is actually much larger than you would think. The Tahitian Terrace/Aladdin's Oasis, as well as the Tiki Room show building, all share a common roof with the Pavilion - have a look at that roof sometime to see how the Main Street theming segues into the Adventureland theming.
Menu Items as of closing 1999 Spaghetti or Penne Pasta - $7.99 - choice of marinara, bolognese, alfredo, primavera, sicilian or chicken alfredo.
      Chicken Breast Sandwich - $7.25
Italian Rope Sausage Sandwich - $7.25
      Caesar Salad - $3.95
      Tiramisu - $3.95
      Parfait Dessert - $3.95
      Child's Pasta Meal - $3.99
Baked Pasta Dinner - $8.99 - DINNER ONLY.
Spaghetti or Penne Pasta Dinner - $8.99 - DINNER ONLY. Same sauces as lunchtime.

I think the last time I ate there was in 1991 - and I had spaghetti for dinner. I miss that place.........certainly there could be another venue for 'cookie' making, don't you think? Like, go home and make cookies...I mean, who really thinks "Say, I'll go to Disneyland today so my kids can make some cookies".......Reopen the restaurant. That's what I say.

Right there with you. It just seemslike the good places in Disney for dining are going the way of the character and the bland.

Sucks that the good places have to close.

They should make it into "Tony's" from "Lady and the Tramp," complete with singing waiters.

Yeah, it seems that DL is leaning towards chicken strips than real dining.

Too bad. Just another example where change was not good.

Are they still having staffing problems? Maybe that's why they haven't reopened it, because I don't think it's because they have too many restaurants. The waits are way too long.

It seems to me that I read they had torn out the kitchen area so it is unable to be opened again. They certainly do need more places to eat in DL. The lines are usually so long in the places that are open.

my kids did the cookie making and loved it. yes, we make cookies at home but it was different being chefs and working with the CM. The experience they got that day was wonderful. Another Disneyland magic for them. The cookie making isn't in the whole area. just a small part of it. THe rest of the place is open to diners.
