  • Indiana Jones Adventure Quote

Can someone help me out...I'm looking for the quote that is carved into the rocks or on a crate or something above your head as you exit the Indiana Jones Adventure through the exit queue. Also, if anyone has any great pictures of the attraction, inside the attraction, or of the quote it would be greatly appreciated! You guys are awesome.

I think its "True rewards come to those who chose wisely" Or something to that effect when you exit.
There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

"True rewards come to those who choose wisely."

It was originally an add for the sponsor of the attraction, AT&T, whoa t the time had a campaign based around "choosing" them as your long-distance carrier. The quote fit both the ride and their campaign. Nowadays, Indy is unsponsored so the quote remains without the AT&T logo. I'll try and get a shot of it for you on Monday if no one else has it.

This site it pretty good...it has the mara translations and also the correspondence letters you find spread out around the whole attraction...sorry, I don't have pictures...at least not good ones, that are of any worth for people to look at.

Real rewards await those that choose wisely.

              Or something like that.

Great Site DiscoDuck. I've always wondered what those maraglyphics said.

Yea, whenever you are inside the ride again, take a close look at some of those letters at an angle, like to the left or right, and you will notice that those letters closely resemble our english letters...

I've spent many of times on my shifts (when I haven't been at a console position), trying to figure out what some of those messages are...they are really easy to figure out once you know what the letters look like...

There aren't any secret messages hidden with mara fonts...but when you enter inside the temple and you enter the room with the obelisk in the center of the very small circular room, all the letters are actually the initials of all the principle imagineers of the attraction. And when you exit that area, in what's called the Flooded maze (near the water fountain), there's also two initials on the support column (MM...which is none other than our favorite mouse, Mickey!)

The last set of initials on the right as you leave the obelisk room are "FW" for Frank Wells who died before the ride opened.

I still have several copies of the 'translation card' that they gave out when the ride first opened. They're fun.

Fortunately I have two decoder cards (I think there was a third version) and I have two different guide maps from 1995 (one of them I dated the first time I went on Indy, May 22nd of 1995)

Its a testament to the lack of attention just for the cost to the bottomline that they dont still give the cards out,It would give the suckers in stand by something to do.

I don't even know how to respond to that. Seeing that in the Stand-By line (before you hit Merge) you don't even go through any Maraglyphics at all.

There was technically four versions of the decoder cards. Three different designs and one reprint because the original card had an upside-down L in Disneyland.
