I'd love to do that, but for now I'm in Okieland. If God ever sees fit to send me to LA or ORL, I'd love to be a pirate. I'd even do it for "less than a buck an hour." Special memories and special people there.
NOTE: I realize that those who must do that for a living must make a living wage.
The dream wasn't about compensation. It was about having a time to bring joy to others for just a few moments. A friend told me that the parents had just as huge a smile as the kids when we were playing with them. Careerbuilder people were following us with cameras and had to get signatures to get them to use the footage. I was moving around pretty quickly and they were telling me to slow down. I just kept being a pirate. I'd love to have the footage of us playing on the pontoon bridge. That was a blast!
Anyways great story. So I bit then send u ate at Ariel's you saw my friend Snow White. Did she look like the one on my avatar. I was there on the 7th for the test run on Nemo with some of my friends from VMK and my family.
Your story made me want to cry. Cry for joy as you got to do something that we only dream about. Going to DL is great but to be able to be a CM and interact with guests, especially kids sounds great. But then again would it change the magic of it all? I am glad that you got to experience it and that your family was there to do it with you. Your kids look happy and they had a great time. A memory of a lifetime.
about the food at Ariel's Grotto I agree, we went there in March but as I told my hubby, we didn't do it for the food, THe look on my little girls face with all the princesses was wonderful and worth every penny, Food or no Food, I'd do it again for her.
